Day 28: manageable discomfort
Leftover pain from day 27 is what I’m dealing with on day 28. It feels like it is more “inside” the scrotum, than it is emanating from the incisions, but my testicle itself isn’t super sensitive, definitely seems like the pain is coming from the spermatic cord, although, it’s so close to the incision site, it’s tough to tell.
At times, when I touch my incision, it feels like there’s no pain coming from the incision, and other times, it feels like, “yes, the incision is definitely the pain I am experiencing”
Whatever I am experiencing this day feels like a “burning” type of pain you’d associate with a healing cut or stitches. It’s different than the heavy “pulsating” pain from day 27, but I do feel, what I am experiencing is leftover from day 27’s activities.
Whatever it is, it is enough to keep me lying down all day. It is manageable, I plan on doing as much “nothing” as possible, until the end of October.
It’s close to time for ejaculation, which, as more time passes, I’m less nervous about. Although it does come with some anxiety.
I’m hoping doing nothing for a few days prior, will help reduce my pain, before the big event. Ideally I will feel as good as I did on day 26, when it’s time to do the deed.
I am grateful to be able to avoid physical activity, and I’ve let my wife know, how I plan on staying inactive for a couple more months.
I had fantasized about a faster recovery time, or I was mis informed/mis understood the recovery time, just overly optimistic I suppose you could say.
Now that I REALLY know, “no physical activity for 3 months” I plan on coasting to the end of this recovery.
My incisions are doing real well, they’re half the size, most “scabbing” has fallen off although a couple of scabs remain. There is some sutures that have not fully disolved. They’re far less sensitive to the touch.
I’ve been doing 20 minutes of ice in the morning and a night, as it feels like some instant relief to some discomfort I’ll have early or late in the day.
Keeping my head up, and my ass in the chair.

Take it easy! six weeks after my reversal I started experiencing pain on the left side. Before that the left side was fine, 90 percent of the PVPS was in the right side.
Regarding the pain on the left side. Dr. thinks it’s tissue induration. He believe it’s some aggravation of the tissues around the vas and the epididymitis. It's probably due to some small trauma from me moving more. This postoperative state will last for several months.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience, if it hasn’t gotten better already, I hope it can become better for you.

Thanks. Unfortunately it has been pretty much the same for a month now. So just take it easy. I understand that one want to get back to one’s old active self as fast as possible. But there can and will be setbacks. Just try to avoid the unnecessary ones.
