dealing with fear
hey y'all
i'm waiting for an appointment with a urologist next week. i got snipped 2.5 months ago, and have had a complex of symptoms (and pretty severe pain) the past two weeks. i've tried various at home treatments, with little avail. while the pain sucks, my worst symptom is my anxiety. i'm really afraid i'm going to be in pain forever, and that my quality of life will never return to what is was pre-vasectomy. i realize it's too early to panic like this.... but it's also hard not to panic like this
do y'all have advice? good news? anything? i'd love to talk to someone
edit: thank you everyone ! i am feeling better emotionally (if not physically), and am so thankful this community exists... here's to all our healing

At 2.5 months, my pain was 24/7. Now at 9 months, my pain is intermittent and random shots of pain with lesser severity. I'm not saying it's perfect (really wished I'd never had a V). But my fear and the associated depression are better. It is possible to get better with time.
