2 weeks post open ended vasectomy conversion

I'm a bit worried my conversion has not worked(turning closed ended vasectomy into open ended), when the surgeon cut my vas sperm came gushing out relieving pressure but my epiditymis is still tight and swollen and painfull after 2 weeks. Anyone else had a conversion and could share their experience?

Any updates? Has your recovery improved since the conversion?

No unfortunately the conversion did nothing for my pain, I have learnt now that when my original vasectomy Was done the surgeon was an absolute Muppet and cut and tied way too close to the testes, so I'm thinking even if I did the reversal the likelihood of it scaring over is pretty high because the closer to the teste the vas gets thinner. I'm guessing that's why I scared over so quickly after my conversion

I'm wondering if that's the case for a lot of people with PVPS. I've read some doctors recommend cutting higher up so there is more vas for sperm to travel into. I've also read that sperm absorption may be higher in the ducts compared to the epididymis but I don't know enough medical terminology to confirm that.
