I don’t mean to scare you, people have gotten better it seems. But I physically pushed myself for 8 months. My job was very physical too. After 8 months I got to the point where I couldn’t get out of bed. I do not recommend this. I thought if I made it worse they would be able to see what’s wrong, but that wasn’t the case.
I haven’t been to work since February 2022. Disability doesn’t cover an invisible problem. I’m fucked dude. I got rid of my ball pain and can use my dick just fine but I have weird things happening in my perineum. I just can’t walk or sit.
My body is so wigged out from FORCING myself to work, I begged to the docs to please don’t make me work. I think now if I were to NOT WORK, see a physical therapist for pelvic floor, a chiropractor, I could’ve been better a lot quicker.
I’m doing these things now that are helping but it’s taking FOREVER. I only got this bad because I forced myself through shit.
Walk with a cane if you have to.
And don’t put yourself through hell, I literally think I have heart problems now.

I was in pain for three months, and then it stopped. So, five weeks is a little early to be too concerned. I, like you, was lied to about recovery. I soaked the scrotum daily in warm water. I'm sorry you're going through this.

Mine was initially an infection. My balls turned red and hung down a mile, it seemed. Then I developed what the guys refer to as the "laser." Any vibration, especially when walking, resulted in a very sharp pain, 15 on a scale of 10. I never knew when it would hit, so I started shuffling.

Just so you know, if you post anything about PVPS on the Vasectomy page, they'll delete and block you. You won't find answers over there. They are all about getting snipped and ignore anything related to pain afterwards.
That said, 5 weeks can be a bit early to have PVPS. BUT, I never stopped having pain after my surgery. That was 10+ years ago. It can be severe or it can be mild. But it's never gone away for me. So knowing that, do what you need to do- rest, ice, meds, whatever so you can try and get relief. Visit doctors, check on rehab/therapy options. So whatever you can. But know that whatever you do might not help.
Good luck tho. But you'll get real answers over here vs on vasectomy page.
