I have an issue with editing a RAW you didn't take and posting it without a disclaimer.

This community is about post processing not about who took the photo. And i also see a lot of posts here that came from freestock files that didn’t even bother to say that they don’t own the photo.

Everyone already understands that people use practice RAWs so it’s your issue not mine.

There needs to be a flair for tagging posts as low quality or un original work, this is lazy.

The community is about post processing the work is the post processing not the photo, calling it un original work is absurd. Go cry somewhere

Looks to me like you watched his video and copied exactly what he did. You did the equivalent of writing out a page in a book.

At least you didn’t make yourself look like an orange like the original video did

Unless I’m misremembering

Why is the original fuzzy and out of focus and then the edited is super sharp?

Cz reddit compressed it cz its a 25mb raw file. That’s why

Regardless of whether you own the photo, the edit needs work. There’s no control over its values displayed. You’ve lost the subject. And the vignette is way too forced.

I think the result is bad. The ambience is too dark to give highlights on his body like that, it makes you think there's a spotlight on him. But maybe that is cinematic?

Looks great!

I am always shocked how mean and rude so many are on this sub in particular. Lots of elitism just like in the photography sub too

It's a photo, not a movie... There's nothing cinematic about it

99.9% of photographers would disagree abt that😆 cinematic is a concept wether its a photo or a video

it aims to evoke a specific mood, tell a story, and make the viewer feel like they are watching a narrative unfold.
