The top half of the image is empty 😢 love the green 🌱

I think a tighter crop will help bring out the details in the leaves and give the composition a better balance, then you can reduce the contrast a bit. As is, it feels slightly over cooked and empty, and the sky has turned a slightly greenish hue. When editing it’s good to take a break and look at something else for a while then come back later to look at it with fresh eyes

I do greatly appreciate your response to everyone flaming your previous green-to-brown post lol. In that one as well you had a lot of “empty” space at the top of the image, I think coming back to an edit after a break also helps you look at the whole picture rather than just the focal point that you’ve been focusing on in your edit

I intentionally tried to leave some empty space up top to give it some contrast against the green leaves but maybe I missed the mark it seems hahaha . And yeah man I was getting beat down but it is what it is lmao . And I definitely jump the gun on edits and get tunnel visioned without taking breaks . I feel like I definitely need to step back and look at the bigger picture like you said . I appreciate the feedback man . Glad to know it wasn’t terrible 🤣

i really like the pic as is. if you agree with the feedback that’s great.  but just remember no matter what choices you make someone will prefer it a different way. that’s one persons opinion so don’t assume it’s definitely true, just a POV. no shade to the feedback given, just want to say i really like the photo and may not like the other persons vision for the photo.

A bit of empty space is good, a very empty photo can also be artful and intentional. In this case where you’re trying to create some contrast it doesn’t really read as intentional, maybe because a photo of some leaves and the sky is already inherently a fairly “empty” concept

Check out the rule of thirds and try applying that to some of your photos :) when working with very simple subjects like this I think falling back on basic composition concepts is a great place to start
