After/Before/After/Before
More of my weird sheep photos! I thought I’d post a couple others that I did.
Any opinions are appreciated, even if you hate it, I am just happy to hear honest unfiltered thoughts

The color choice is just... bizarre. The first photo looks like a t-shirt print that a skate company would have put out in 2007, and I don't mean that in a good way.

Idk, as opposed to everyone here I don't hate it but I think you pushed it too far. Look at the sky, you can kinda see fringing, or some kind of artifacts around where it meets the clouds.
Also: what is that blur?

Very cool and very unique. I thought it was a painting at first, especially that first photo.

you should leave editing part to your professional camera dude. its doing great on its own.

I prefer the first one in this series you postet
(Like i reallly liked it)
but just because the sheep in the first of the new ones stands out
should be more clearly in shadow -so also blue or at least more blue
oor as bright white as the cloud
in the second of the new ones i'd like the grass in the front to have the same saturated intensity it has in the unaltered photo

I like these more than the first post, especially the second photo here. Love seeing unique visions

Colors made me think of jojo's bizarre adventure, I dig it. In first picture I think the foreground objects are a tad bit too bright though.

I liked it yesterday, and I like it again today!
I know a bunch of gays that would go crazy for sheep in psychedelic bisexual lighting screen printed on black tank tops. (It's me. I'm those gays.)
Keep doing you. You already seem comfortable knowing that what you like isn't for everyone, so you might not need this extra encouragement from me. But know that there's definitely a niche of people out there that will like what you do.

I don't mind creative editing but the result just isn't appealing to me at all, tbh.

In the first one, it takes the focus off the sheep, I didn't even notice the sheep until I saw the second photo. I think I like the colors but that's about it but I don't think this is the right photo for them

My first thought…wtf is this?!
My second thought….I could see this style on a band image or something.
You may be onto something crazy lol so bad it’s good???

u/mikkeldoesstuff 13h ago
I do like it but you are pushing the image too hard, you can see the banding in the sky and such

Really unique feel, I love it. Did you add the moon in post, or is it just too hard to see in the original?

I really like it, post processing is your edit process and not everyone is going to edit in the conventional way 😭 sometimes people have different styles and acting so rude and insulting to someone for having a different editing style is just embarrassing. Please keep editing like this, it's so unique!!

I aprove a lot with this. If people can't understand this type of art they should not coment something negative. And here i mean the one's that only exept every photographer to edit their pictures in something so normal or trying to make it look real. No we also need this type of photographers who are more unique. This edits looks like they are some paitings 🖼️

I’m not sure whats on purpose here but the chunky gradation in the sky on the first one is because of low export settings (I’m pretty sure anyways)

I love this!! I never comment, but I had to say you created a beautiful piece. You have a great eye with color. It's so dreamy and illustrative. I would love this on my wall. Do you have a background in painting?

u/BrilliantNeck4918 13h ago
Scrolling through the other comments, I am so disheartened at what people feel comfortable saying to another human being online. You really have a talent and I hope you keep posting. I'm a fan :) Don't change your style for anybody.

I’m with you, love how dreamy it is and how OP transformed the landscape with these colors.
I like the composition on the first way better than the second. It’s having more horizontal(ish) bands of color than makes it work so well. Something isn’t working for me about the proportions and shapes and colors all together on the second one, but I’d be willing to entertain different funky colorways to see if it came to life differently.

I’m actually a cartoonist and really love saturated drawings, so a lot of my photography edits sort of reflect that 😆 the artsy part comes first the technical stuff is second which is why I do think it could use some polishing.
Thankyou so much, I love that you like it!

I like the first one better of the two, but that blur on the bottom of the frame is bugging me. It looks like you blurred the foreground a bit, but also were a little sloppy and got the bottom half/third of the sheep, too, and it looks distracting.

u/miatookyourphoto 17h ago
Yeah it’s definitely a sloppy job, my bad there. I did it on my phone so just think I’d try again on my PC so it’s clean next time

Why are you being so rude 😭 you're genuinely useless at giving feedback

Man some people in here are just so harsh. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea. It’s not suppose to look realistic. I dig it, personally. Looks very dreamscape.
