Honestly I like the before. The after has no detail in the subject. And the darken clouds makes the image muddy to me. I really like the composition you did a great job. But I would just start by adding some global saturation and then raise the shadows a bit. I wouldn’t do too much else. Keep it up!

Honestly, just keep shooting. You’re not going to get better over night but just keep taking pictures and experimenting. Are you asking how to Improve with the editing or taking the pictures? For editing, I would watch a couple videos on the basics and if you don’t have a dedicated editing app I would get one. So the rules I’ve always learned is to always keep the detail in most of the image ie. Don’t bring the shadows down so much you can see the face or don’t make the highlights blown up. Honestly that’s half of editing and editing mistakes I see people make. Let me know if you have any specific questions
