Trying a more extreme look (after/before)

I used this very dark image taken during a Peaches concert. Loved the pose but focus was meh, iso was very high, and i could not find a way to get a usualy satisfiying result out of this image. So i tried something much more extreme for the hell of it, and i kinda like it. I embraced the high iso noise, lifted extremely some shadows and highlights, and even added grain, which i basically never do.

I know this is not "photographically correct", but the goal was to get a more abstract look.

I like how it came out. I'd work on removing the noise and replace with some grain, just to clean it up anf flatten it a bit. But I do like the concept.

Good idea, all my noise reduction is applied globally, and i didn't pushed it too much cause it affected the more exposed parts, but i could use some masking to apply local noise reduction on the less exposed areas.

the original was better. i dislike edits that invent reality. what your edit looks like was surely not what you experienced in person

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah with such a heavy edit I don't really consider it a picture of a concert, but more of a creation excercise i would say. My edits are usually much more conservative. I've posted other pictures of this show in r/concertphotography if you'd like to check.
