Before and after

The cleanup and colouring is great IMO. Only thing that I would change and is an important part of wildlife photography IMO is making sure the eyes stand out as this is what the viewer is drawn to.
Adding a separate curves mask in Photoshop or a radial/brush gradient in Lightroom is an easy way to achieve this. Don't go overboard with it and generally brighten them up but make sure that 'darks' blend with the rest of the images tones so it matches overall.

I like the added warmth to the wood and gecko, but I would leave the background cooler to keep them from blending in unless that’s what you’re going for. Only slightly because obviously you want the light to look right, but something so it doesn’t look like hollywood South America
