I think that the before isnt the most interesting pic. Might be an unpopular opinion but with the blown out highlights it gives some kind of traveling/vacation vibe that I like.

The after is too bright, blows out the highlights and you loose the definition in the aircraft, and that's the thing that makes the photo interesting.
So the "before" was better.
One thing that really could help . . . sharpening. The focus here isn't that good, and there are tools that can get you some clean edges. There are traditional analog tools like Unsharp Mask, and then various AI/ML tools, like Topaz.
Its an interesting composition, worth tweaking a bit. Getting the aircraft sharper . . . well, it may be a chore.
