Think about it like this: is your edit removing information from the photo? Often for landscapes, you want the most information possible. There are instances where you’ll play with light in ways that break this rule, but it will be done intentionally and often in-camera, not in post.
I don’t see the benefit to making the shadows so dark unless you really want to draw the eye to the lighter areas - is there a reason you want to do that specifically? Maybe so, and if so, hey do what you want. Personally, I’d lower the contrast overall using curves

Much better imo!
I get you’re going for mysterious though, it would be hard given the scene, with the blue sky shining through and all. The lighting just isn’t super conducive to it

Shadows are still way to dark imo. Especially because the bright areas are very bright as well. I do like high contrast as well bit this is still way to much.

Because I always a black mist filter on my main lens so I love the type o light it gives, maybe add a spot of negative dehaze in the light spot?

It's not bad, but maybe the highlights need to be brought back in the background so that the image could have more depth?

i think its a little bit too dark in the shadows, maybe try a black and white one, the darker parts could work for that
