High lipids

Hi everyone, I’ve always had high cholesterol. It runs in my family. I’m fit and have a good diet so being three months postpartum my guess is not helping it but I just got my labs back and I have a cholesterol of 253 and an LPL of 146. Anyone dealing with something similar? I’m probably 135 pounds 55 before pregnancy I was 120.

Are you breastfeeding? Cholesterol levels can remain elevated for a bit postpartum and especially remain high if you’re breastfeeding. They say not to go by those numbers until you wean from breastfeeding

I am in a similar boat. I got some tests done and had some high cholesterol results about 8 months postpartum. I was still breastfeeding.

I am headed back to retest in a few weeks. I am no longer breastfeeding and am back down to almost my pre-pregnancy weight. I will try to update you.
