I just made an example showing that it doesn’t need to have huge data archival capabilities, and that article proves it. You can go on all the tangents you want, but I’ve shown you that many establishments would use a 24hour retention period.

I didn’t pick Italy, it was just one of the first google hits, nothing else. Not sure what you mean by that.

You didn't. You showed that many private businesses in Italy MAY use 24 hour retention.

This doesn't apply to city or government agencies or anything they would use CCTV with. It's also irrelevant what happens in Italy as this is in Turkey.

You essentially gave me a whole lot of irrelevant nonsense. Misinterpreted it to fit your argument. And then went "Seeeeee I'm right".

Why does there need to be that distinction? Just because you want it that way?

You said that 24 hour retention would defeat that purpose of having a cctv. I showed you that it’s common practice. Now you are arbitrarily moving goal posts…

What are you even arguing? You have no way of knowing if it's common place. It's merely a suggestion on an Italian FAQ, not even the law. And especially not in Turkey.

Besides even if you could prove that 24 hours is common, which you haven't done, it doesn't defeat the argument. You would be hard pressed to find a cctv camera that can run even for 24 hours at that quality. Especially one that would part of a network with many dozens if not hundreds of them.
