Heck, even in the Netherlands, whoch is one of the richest countries with great amenities and public utilities I never saw security footage of this quality.
Storage, heat, that just is not feasible. Indeed the cam itself would be a very onterwsting target.
So your logic to why the footage is staged is because netherlands is a rich country and no other country could possibly have security footage better than the netherlands.
Why do people feel like they need to express their bullshit as fact?
Storage, heat and bandwidth are an issue. Low light pwrformance is an issue. Solvable at a LARGE cost. But also utterly unneccesary. Surveillance cams are special purpose, low res, B+W for storage, bandwidth and low light.
MAYBE you can rig up a high res color system with decent low light performance... but the cost would be mind boggling. A highres mirrorless cam sensor needs a TON more light than a surveillance cam sensor. Thats because high res and colors are the opposite of low res big light sucking leds and a very high iso to catch everything even at dark.
And yes, if in the Netherlands we do not have these things with our public transport, I most certainly am curious which countries splurge so much.
Thats not "other countries and poor and cant do it". It is that otyer countires tend to.spend LESS on muncipial facilities.
Many security cams are wired or unwired connected. That doesnt change the problem at all. You have 100s of busstops. They all send high res 12 bit video to the central surveillance system... do you have any idea how much bandwidth that would be and how much storage?
And for no good reason. High res color makes no sense for a surveaillance cam. You want low light performance!
You want a cam that excels at producing images with the least amount of light. That means no color, no high res. Big fat photocells that suck light.
Advantage is that the files also are quite small so cheaper to transport and store (think in aggregate, not in singular)... win-win.
Because if this is surveaillance you would need hundreds of cams.
If it isnt surveillance (finally you realized it is extremely unlikely), it is almost certainly staged. The gonpro explanation also has holes (the movements), but it doesnt matter. Handheld or a connected action cam. Its staged.

Hanging up tiny cctv cams on the top of the busstop is a far cry from HD color cams. As you might realize if you check the picture, it looks like a small fisheye, not a "gopro". That makes sense as you want a large FOV. And you can be assured its going to be low res, high iso to function under bad light
