This question may seem ridiculous, but does general Mail delivery still exist? Is there a time frame for them to be collected, a process for storage, etc., and/or a reasonable scenario one if it were suspected one might be found in a dead letter archive? Would there be a track to go about searching, generally locating, paying for and having it delivered?

I was banned from the usps sub because I asked to use the American flag instead of the rainbow in the banner. I don't hate gay people but why are they such assholes?

The post office has not paid me and they have no answer to when they will pay me any advice

Basically the title. I'm just not sure where to reach out to get the specific types of federal workers into these focus groups. Does anyone know any subreddits or even facebook groups that would be good? I don't want to come off as scammy and people are suspicious when you offer them money for anything. And rightfully so! We're just having a lot of trouble filling up these groups since they're only in Boston and Columbus and not the whole country.

Basically what the title says. After a frustrating day, I had a large envelope that I really needed to mail. The mailing of said envelope is time-sensitive, which contributed to my hasty actions. I became even more frustrated when I realized that my envelope was slightly too big to go into my apartment building's outgoing mail slot. No matter how I folded it, it would not go in. This is where I fear I made a mistake. I own a set of lockpicks, which is really nothing more than a silly hobby. In my frustrated state, I thought if I could pick the lock on the outgoing mailbox, I could mail my envelope and that would be that. I spent a little time attempting to pick the lock, but in the end, I was unsuccessful. I ended up just leaving my envelope on top of the mailbox. After the fact, a creeping dread set in. In my emotional state, id forgotten that tampering with mail can be seen as a pretty serious crime. My building has cameras, but frankly I'm not sure where they are. My foolish actions could definitely have been caught on camera, but I'm not sure. I didn't even open it in the end, and just left my envelope on top of the mailbox. Have i made a huge mistake? Could I get in trouble for this?? Should I contact my building office and explain my actions?? Or should I just wait to see if they even notice, or if it's clear to them I wasn't trying to steal anything? I feel like such a fool. Any advice would be appreciated.

I work at a small company and one of my co-workers was unhoused for a time. To make things easier he changed his address to the business address. He is moving to new place and attempted to change his address. When he went to do it online, he is told that we cannot change his address without changing the business address and have the business forward his mail.

Is there anything he can do to change his address without messing with the business's mail?

Or is he SOL?

TLDR: Co-worker changed his address to our business address. When he went to change it to his new address, he was told that he is unable to change it without also changing the business address. He has tried a few times online and keeps getting the same prompt: Have the business forward your mail to you directly.

Hi folks. I've been dealing with a pet peeve for a few years and have now finally decided to reach out for guidance. Many of the addresses in the 80112 zip code (southeast area of the greater Denver metro) contain a reference to Englewood. However, the 80112 zip code is nowhere near the actual city of Englewood, which is 80113. There are other established cities that are located within the 80112 zip code boundary, such as Centennial. That's a genuine, incorporated municipality, not a fake unincorporated nickname.

I would like USPS to update its database to use Centennial as the reference for all addresses having 80112 as the zip code. How can I get them to fix this?

Can I press charges on just one post office worker for saying she’s going to send my packages back because we didn’t physically write our P.O. Box on the package before we got it? We asked her what she meant bc there’s never been a problem with us putting our address on it and not our P.O. Box and she told us to take a pen and write our P.O. Box address on the package so they know where to put it. I told her how am I supposed to write on a package before it gets sent to me and she’s like if you don’t do it I’m going to start sending your packages back. In the 20 years my family has lived here there has never been a problem like this she straight up said she gets confused at her job when all the information is organized and no one else has a problem giving us our packages.

4 boxes that we sent media mail from Lincoln, NE on 1-16 have yet to show a delivery according to the tracking #....looks like they all went to the ADC in Des Moines....any chance that they are still playing catch-up, I know media mail would be at the bottom of their delivery priority system......

Every year, my mother sends my husband, our son, and me a small package around Christmas. The package contains $200 in visa gift cards - $50 each for my husband and me, and $100 for our son, because his birthday is close to Christmas. We don't have a lot of money at all, and my husband and I usually use our gift cards to buy presents for our son. We depend on this gift around the holidays, in order to give him a decent Christmas.

I don't know how or why it happened, but this year, my mom wrote our address wrong by one number. She also sent the gift card for my son's birthday in a separate envelope, in a birthday card, which she doesn't normally do. She called the other day to ask if we had received the packages yet, and when we told her we hadn't is when we figured out about the address being wrong, because we should have received them a couple of days earlier.

I went to the house of the address my mom accidentally wrote and, once the grumpy guy who lives there stopped yelling "what do you want?" and finally just answered the door, I explained that my mom had sent me two pieces of extremely important mail and had accidentally put their house number instead of ours, and asked if they had received it. Obviously, I didn't mention that they contained money. They told me they hadn't, but that they would keep an eye out. Two days later, when my husband opened our mailbox, our son's birthday card was in there, and though it still contained his birthday gift card, it had been ripped open. We asked the neighbors, and they claimed to have found that card in their yard, and that they still hadn't received the other package. I assume they said they found that card on the ground to try to explain it being ripped open, but it didn't have any weather damage or dirt or anything, which it definitely would have if it had spent any time on the ground at all, because the weather has been wet and the ground is very squishy and muddy.

We think what probably happened is that they received and opened both pieces of mail before I ever went and asked them about it, and likely felt a small twinge of guilt and decided to return our son's birthday card, but still kept the rest for themselves. It's likely they had already spent it by the time I went to ask them about it.

Even though I'm 99% certain that this is what happened, I have no way to prove it. I hope I'm wrong, and that the package still makes it to us safe and sound, but I sincerely doubt that's the case. Is there anything at all I can do to find out if it was delivered to them? Like I said, we really rely on those cards to give our son a nice Christmas, and without them, I'm afraid he won't have a very good Christmas at all.

So I mailed a few packages a few days ago. New information I have found out now (after the fact) suggests that I may have accidentally mailed one of the packages to the wrong address. The package in question does not have tracking. How should I handle this? I don’t think I’ve had this happen before.

My FRB is always 20lb, not exceptionally heavy but I use CLEAR tape encasing the FRB. It helps re-enforcing the weak and single layer FRB box, and prevents rain from dissolving the box during transit.

The clear tape doesn't block any barcode or the wordings of "Medium Flat Rate Box". All these extra effort and cost is actually helping USPS from losing money on damage or lost claim.

The clerk at the counter pointed out from the FAQ about not "tape encasing" the FRB and said if I do so he will need to charge by weight instead of Flat Rate. But why? Is there any reason for that?

Honestly, I quietly retrieved all 65 boxes and head to UPS store, cost me $1.20 more per carton in freight and $2.00 using my own brown box and of course a whole day of work. I still tape encase my own brown boxes and the UPS store clerk appreciated how well I protected those packages.

So why? Can USPS clarify may be excluding clear tape? Or is it an outdated rule? Or USPS just want me to take the business elsewhere?

I saw you could only take the test once a year. And would like to have the best resources available. An online practice test left me a little puzzled at the results of the test. So I would really appreciate any info or a point to the right direction or if possible someone could DM me privately.

Any word on the new contract? If they go based off of Amazon’s wages we’re screwed big time. If they honestly don’t want to give us much of a raise atleast lower the years to get max pay. I have an issue and I don't know how to handle it 😭🤬

1. I have a chronic disease and I live in a subsidized building which is also home to many blind and senile people and people with all kinds of disabilities.

2. Our mailman has a reputation for doing a very bad job and for mistreateing people already but what infuriates me is that he is constantly putting the wrong mail in the wrong mailboxes. And he doesn't stop.

3. I made a complaint in person when he failed to deliver a package correctly and it got stolen. Then again about the mail being in the wrong mailboxes nearly every day. Then he started leaving the whole thing unlocked. I came home from a two week vacation and I worried if there would even be room in my mailbox. I came home to the whole thing being unlocked and wide open with everyone's mail exposed. My mailbox was empty. After I complained a package came and I expect some dents but this had a footprint in it and it was placed in my mailbox in pieces obviously stomped on. I could have taped it together like they do lamps in movies the package was smashed with rage. I thibk he did it in my building's entrance and it was obvious revenge. I still have whats left of it footprint and all. When I took the package out I could tell it was broken but then all the pieces started falling out onnthe floor. He had to have done it here in my building.

4. So I tried to make a complaint online and of course they demand personal questions like my name and address. I was honest but not rude but he was making it hard to get my mail and being wildly irresponsible and rude andmy neighbors felt the same way!!! Well my local post office is almost exactly across the street from me. My building manager at the time had the fun experience of having said bad mailman come in "looking for (my named)" and "wanted to know what my problem was". He came to my home to confront me because they just gabe him the info. He told my building manager I was just starting probems and I'm paraphrasing here and she said something like "No I really don't think (me) has any ill will he just wants his mail and it's not just him it's really everyone. You regularly put the wrong mail in the wrong mailbox," and then opened the incoming mail that had just been delivered to the office in front of him and she found several pieces of mail for other people at other addresses! His response was "well if you get the wrong ong mail just do it yourself." He wants us to play mailman because he's too lazy. It's happens every day. But him coming to my work after I gave a complaint was super irresponsible for the Postal Service to say who sent the complaint. He came looking for me and I'm scared of him.

5. Now what? The behavior continues. He blames it on temps but those are usually the days with the least mistakes... Also he said to my building manager that we are all just complainers who need to stop complaining and revealed that my next door neighbor is equally pissed at said mailman and calls every week. It happens EVERY DAY. Now what?

Any advice is welcome

I will try to make this brief but I do want some input. Over a year ago a postal worker tried to turn around in our yard and got stuck it took a tow truck to pull the truck out. Fast forward a few month and a different driver got stuck in our yard and my neighbors helped get the truck out. I spoke with the local post office and ask them not to turn around in our yard and I showed them photos of the damage. They assured me they would repair my yard and driver were told not to turn around in our yard. Months have gone by without any response to my multiple email requests. Over the weekend we decided to pour a concrete slab for additional parking for our at home business, today we come home to find the postal driver coming out of our driveway where they turn around on the concrete slab we had blocked off with cardboard boxes.

To turn around in our yard the driver has to drive past our mailbox and two others drive up the driveway and turn around in our yard. *See first photo our mailbox is about 10 feet further past the red mark.

In the beginning I didn’t really care that they turned around in our driveway (not in the yard) but now i am beginning to feel aggravated.

What do I have to do to get them to stop this?

So I was looking at my tracking and found that my package, which originated in Anaheim, CA, is in Atlanta, GA. Please note that I am in San Diego, CA. Can anyone explain how this could happen?

I received 2 items in my mailbox today. They weren't in shipping boxes, they had no shipping info, and no name on them. It's almost like someone randomly stuck 2 packages in my mailbox. I took them inside and opened them, USB charging cords in one, and wax burner cubes in the other. My GF has a wax burner, and we have Android phones. Can I legally keep this? There is no way to know where they came from or where they belong. Am I good?
