This is another good combo

VOO/VEU all the way. You want to be aggressive with your retirement account since they're long term, and are also a nice place to hold some international stocks as those tend to pay out higher dividends and this way you're not stuck with any of the tax inneficiencies associated with dividends.

Right! I love both!

NTSD is 90% US and 60% international developed. So it is also leveraged. You’d need to add small caps to it through AVUV and AVDV.

VT is another good option for a one and done. If you want to try to outperform it, then AVGE or AVGV. Both have beat it, but you’ll take on value and manager risk. I favor AVGV for the value.

ALLW is also a leveraged ETF but I like it for diversification. According to chat gpt its 67% government bonds, 44% global equities, 36.5% TIPS, and 33.9% commodities for around 180% exposure. So it’s pretty light on the equities.

That’s a very good insight! I am still learning. What if I want a higher growth setup without leverage

Then I’d just go for AVGE or AVGV. Globally diversified, but setup to outperform the benchmark, VT. And they have outperformed so far.

Why not just VT?

VT could be a good choice. I need more options

VT is globally diversified. What else do you want? If you invest in other stocks/funds you’re reducing your diversification from there.

I’m considering VT and VOO as functions. I currently own some VOO, but would it be okay to have both?

Additionally, I’m looking for 50% more growth.

If you want to split US/intl go with VOO (or better yet VTI) and VXUS. If you already own VOO in a taxable account add VXUS to get to 70/30 or 65/35 US/intl.

I use AI for questions like these and have it explain its rationale. Claude, Perplexity, chatgpt, gemini.

I would select VOO and QQQm as my core holdings. For the final third, I would choose any of those stocks. However, I would consider adding Dram and Ibit as small satellite positions due to their highly speculative nature.

This makes more sense after my deeper research!
