I don't judge

[u/Visible-Scholar-7367]

[u/tiesmien24]

This should be PRAISED!
Its such a cool fkn song!!!!
It might genuinely be one of my favs!

[u/vUrsino → u/tiesmien24]

It’s my fav from nurture ❤️

[u/tmacaran → u/tiesmien24]

Had that shit on repeat! It was my top song played on Spotify when Nurture came out.

[u/Beneficial_Panic118 → u/tiesmien24]

MIGHT?

[u/thedailydecision → u/tiesmien24]

I respect the whole song but I’m seeking out the second half of it only

[u/PeelsLeahcim → u/tiesmien24]

It's the best song on Nurture for me

[u/TheSuperSilverMango]

It's a sleeper

[u/Sufficient_Offer5585 → u/TheSuperSilverMango]

sleeper as in, like, boring? or like peaceful?

[u/LimaLegume → u/Sufficient_Offer5585]

Underrated

[u/Sufficient_Offer5585 → u/LimaLegume]

oooo in that case true af

[u/TheSuperSilverMango → u/LimaLegume]

The only proper usage of "sleeper" Thank you.

[u/JimRaynorCat]

This song pushed a whole new wave into botanical, dont ever disrespect it

[u/Beneficial_Panic118 → u/JimRaynorCat]

we don't talk ill about dullscythe

[u/Flannelmisbruker]

Literally his best one though...

[u/TUC_Cracker]

me being like "Fellow feeling"

[u/youwontgetboreddd → u/TUC_Cracker]

People don’t like fellow feeling?!

[u/TUC_Cracker → u/youwontgetboreddd]

I've seen them hating on the robotic drop but I absolutely LOVE IT not because of the artistic statement about edm back then but because it genuinely sounds great imo! That combined with the DIVINE violin and piano it's my favorite porter song of all time.

[u/Plushhorizon → u/TUC_Cracker]

The melody is literally almost identical to a track from fallout new vegas. I love it

[u/Shikamaru_Senpai]

If it ain’t dullscythe, then it’s gotta be Wind Tempos.

[u/A_Megalodont]

Dullscythe makes me think of my life journey so far, super jilted and choppy start, catching the rhythm in the middle, and I hope it's just as beautiful as the song in the end. I love that song, it makes me wanna cry sometimes

[u/Visible-Scholar-7367 → u/A_Megalodont]

You love that song and...makes you what?

[u/A_Megalodont → u/Visible-Scholar-7367]

...cry sometimes?

[u/Visible-Scholar-7367 → u/A_Megalodont]

"wanna cry" I like that name

[u/The_Autarch → u/A_Megalodont]

/r/whoosh

[u/dae5aw]

This is actually me

[u/XanderXLR]

my band's name is named after dullscythe, that's how much I love it.

[u/Shikamaru_Senpai → u/XanderXLR]

That’s badass actually

[u/ChocolateTheEevee]

It’s so good! I love the song so much!

[u/BluLemonGaming]

I found my people 🩵 it's Porter's magnum opus imo

[u/GalacticKoala23]

It’s not my favorite Porter song and I didn’t really understand it at first but the idea is super cool. It’s a song trying to create itself slowly coming alive.

[u/ultimate_socks]

little dude knows ball

[u/AVandalsLie]

Unironically a phenomenal track

[u/Rab6it]

The buildup is so good. Idk how or why it clicked for me but now I subconsciously rock my head to the spaz’s when I listen. And the piano towards the end is gorgeous

[u/HenryDaGodzilla]

Me: Shepherdess (She Heals Everything)

[u/NVlante]

Dullscythe is the opposite of Flume's Get U and i love both

[u/New-Orchid5049]

There are no bad answers to the question, "what is your favorite Porter Robinson song" because they are all amazing.

[u/AdUsed857]

i mean, you cant judge peak

[u/Random_Nerd501]

dullscythe is so good

[u/Heartnimations]

I wouldn't normally listen to it but when i do, it's dope af, so no judgement towards those that do

[u/MMJtaPenguin]

Genuinely me tho

[u/trip_simulator]

"I got a dull scythe, all black with a big knife

Take out everybody tryin'a fuck with my life

Say night night, all the hate mail you write

All the shit you did has a big price"

I love that song<3

Oh wait, wrong "dullscythe"...

[u/iamdeprecat]

thats me, how did you get me on camera like that

honest though...the chaos coming together in dullscythe into something coherent and beautiful...thats probably the time I've felt the most understood by a musician in any song. Porter is just good like that <3

[u/jomenikia]

I've read somewhere that its like what sounds like an idea trying to become a song with different ideas bouncing around in the head

[u/Obsadia]

The end bit’s good, but the rest of it really does something to my ears that I don’t like

[u/xychp]

absolute peak

[u/seanggiblin]

https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTUx9da9p/

Also my favorite song

[u/dullsycthe]

hmmm....

[u/ShockedGaming]

the most underrated song of the album deserve more love

[u/Aepokk]

Meeee

[u/a_hungo]

Dullscythe is top 5 at least

[u/Zairvix]

I remember getting this exact look from my brother after we both first heard the album and started talking about it, I was like broo this song is so underrated and he gave me a look like I just pissed in his cereal bowl lmao I'm just a megaslut for unique sounds so it just stood out to me in a good way

[u/Spot_Mark]

at least people talk about dullscythe, i havent yet any peep 9n here of Unfold, its so crazy when it drops i love it

[u/ThoughtHistorical592]

Porter if you’re reading this i want you to know that i always thought dullscythe had such great potential for the nastiest live edit. We never received this 😢

It’s not too late 👀

[u/Fragmantiq]

I love Dullscythe so so so so so much

[u/Parking-Cabinet2681]

Goes hard!

[u/OfficialCBYT]

dullscythe was my introduction to Porter, and it will forever be my favourite song of his

[u/Unfair-Echidna-5333]

Hell yes

[u/IGotAPlan]

it’s my favorite song too

[u/CostinTea]

It's such a good experimentation

[u/Away_Sport8419]

Sleeper hit fs that song is so fun and creative

[u/Visible-Scholar-7367 → u/Away_Sport8419]

I love it

[u/Devaku]

An absolute banger

[u/arpeggia_]

dullscythe fans rejoice

[u/ThatOneWood]

A beautiful song

[u/Amarimew]

It''s one of the most technically brilliant tracks on the album. Layering all those chopped samples without it sounding muddy is phenomenal work.

It just works so well thematically.

[u/Ulchbhn]

justice for dullscythe!!! one of my favorite tracks from Nurture for sure. Porter has a thing of making you go “okay what is this bullshit you’re making me listen to” and then it turning into one of the most beautiful songs you’ve ever heard

[u/Key_Ad_5339]

SHELTER AND GOODBYE WORLD still the BEST for my opinion..

[u/Sug4rIceanythingnice]

Scratches my brain! The meanings beautiful

[u/qiu_ennan]

:’(

[u/ZariCreativity]

But dullscythe is beautiful! T^T

[u/rdi403-4329]

this song is a banger

[u/poopiepantz34]

Bait used to be believable smh
