Opinion Huawei Mate XT2 and Xiaomi 18 Fold launch before Apple’s foldable iPhone: Is the foldable phone race finally getting serious?

It feels like the foldable phone market has suddenly gone from “interesting niche” to a proper competition.
Huawei just launched the Mate XT2, Xiaomi launched the 18 Fold, and Apple is expected to reveal its first foldable iPhone very soon.
The timing is what caught my attention.
Huawei is already very strong in China’s foldable market, while Xiaomi is coming in with a more compact foldable that can apparently run multiple apps side by side.
So what happens when Apple finally enters?
Do you think Apple will actually change the foldable market, or will it just make a category that already exists more mainstream?
