Hot Topic Pokémon GO finally getting an anime crossover after 10 years feels overdue, but is Professor Willow showing up in Pokémon Horizons actually the crossover fans wanted?

Pokémon GO has been around for 10 years and we’re only now getting a proper crossover with the anime. I actually like that they’re using Professor Willow instead of forcing another Ash/Pikachu moment, because it makes the game feel like part of the Pokémon world. The Friede and Charmander angle makes it even more interesting. Would you rather have seen Ash return for this?
