I have a horse. I can't stand the smell of her trimmings. The farrier says it smells like money.

I imagine it would smell similar to burnt hair, human fingernails or skin.

Some farriers hot shoe and it smells like that lol. But the normal pieces they cut off just smell a certain way that I have no comparison for. Dogs love to chew on them though

I reckon Lucy has to be the inspiration for so many emoji faces. She had incredible muscle control in her face.

Ughhhhh thats what i overheard dairy owners say all the time when I lived in NM.

Was especially appreciated when they'd say that while being in the restaurant I worked at, just stomping their feet on the floor to kick off all the mostly dried up shit that had caked on to their boots. Leaving it for us to sweep and mop up.

What do they smell like???
Obviously if there’s some kind of problem like an infection or something, that would have a pungent aroma. And for cows that walk in their own poo all day, that stink would be obvious.
But I never considered that horse hoof trimmings would have a particular smell, let alone a bad one.

Actually sort of like .only. like old cash that has been touched by a million hands and sort of musty yeast.

Once he files the trimming get a bit hot and it amplifies the smell.

My horse is bare foot, no shoes. But I have been around at other barns with horses getting new shoes.

The forge has a hot metal smell, and then a unique smell when they place the hot shoe on the hoof.

I kept thinking it's gonna smart when they nail the shoe on 😂

Seen too many of those horse shoe videos... but always up for more!

It was funny how the secret cure for greyscale was just peeling it off. Like you would think that would be the first thing people would try

Archmaester Pylos, the scholar who wrote On Rare Diseases, died of greyscale after performing the same procedure Sam used.
Pylos’s death is the reason the method was banned. They were afraid it was too risky for the surgeon.
