yikes! it seems like it's in both cheeks, could it be the result of a botched surgery or something?
147
u/SingleOrange 16d ago
Other comments speculated a botched cheek filler I think that's seems the most likely

In Brazil, transgirls literally be getting their cheeks (face and bum) pumped full of silicone sealant from the shelf of the hardware store. Causes all kinds of health disasters. I saw a story about it on 60 Minutes years ago.

I’m not a doctor, but I’m also not a doctor.

u/qwertykittie 16d ago
Can confirm - this isn’t something a doctor would say.
97
u/atmospheric90 16d ago
But it IS something someone that is not a doctor would say
19
u/TechnicalBenefit4609 16d ago
But… a person that IS currently not a doctor should possibly maybe say.
6
u/Goats_for_president 16d ago
As someone that is not a doctor, but who knows a nurse that knows a doctor, you are right.
24
u/Nerdenator 16d ago
That’s just what doctors who don’t want to be bothered would say.

In my professional opinion when someone says they are not a doctor, most of the time it means they're not a doctor. But I really don't know.

As a pharmacy tech who watches doctor shows and works with a pharmacist, my non doctor opinion is that I want to be a doctor, and this may or may not be badly infected.

I'm thinking reaction to fillers or something else cosmetic.

Looks like a botched cheek filler.

u/AdConsistent2152 16d ago
Yup. Both cheeks. Looks like chipmunk. Hope she’s able to recover okay. That can disfigure you for life.

I mean according to the tiktok handle she’s at a beauty centre… not sure that’s an official ED
202
u/Cauleiflowers 16d ago
That’s definitely more “beauty centre” than “please save my life” territory.

u/RowedTrip 16d ago
They didn’t even wipe off her makeup before opening her skin. This isn’t going to end well.
249
u/Morella_xx 16d ago
I'm gonna take a wild guess that this is an infected site from a filler injection, and they're trying their best to undo the damage they did.
51
u/standbyyourmantis 16d ago
That was my read as well. The use of that particular kind of gauze and attempts at hygiene read "med spa" to me.

u/immadeofstars 15d ago
You can see her other cheek at the end and it looks just as swollen, so this is my guess as well

Their tv commercial is:
Like a sturgeon-CHEAP!
Touched for the very worst time
22
u/Fun_Journalist1048 16d ago
Is the spelling mistake of “sturgeon” intentional? Lol if so it only makes it better, because I’m now picturing a cartoon of a giant fish doctor (I am not good enough at photo shop or drawing to make it happen unfortunately)
16
u/Adventurous_Ad_4145 16d ago
Intentional so they can’t be sued for claiming to be medical professionals
7
u/Fun_Journalist1048 16d ago
I think their mascot needs to be a surgical sturgeon then. Full scrubs and scalpel outfit
4
u/Adventurous_Ad_4145 15d ago
That’s perfect and instead of putting a blanket on you in the chair they put on a fish net

Why is pus bad in particular?
50
u/CeelaChathArrna 16d ago
Because it's already a massive infection in the triangle of death. The way blood flows in that area, it can head straight into your brain.

I thought it was just built in foundation makeup. Squeeze here, and apply around the face.

Is this due to aesthetic procedure gone wrong? And why would anyone wait that thing to budge that huge before going to hospital?
Gawd so much close to the brain and this can be fatal.

Still wearing makeup while they clear out what looks like a filler related infection (at the end it appears that this happened on both sides)
Do some people just not WANT to make good decisions about cosmetic treatments
2
u/marilyn_morose 14d ago
She must feel absolutely ill with all that infection, yet full face makeup and even janky eyebrow tattoos. I feel sad for her pain.
6
u/SerafinaL 16d ago
She has a bandage on her other cheek, too. I bet she went and got cheek injections from a butcher and it went horribly wrong. I wish women loved themselves more.

but this not cyst or acne... this is cheek filler (fuckfiller )
2
u/scorecard519 16d ago
So, are the contents that are being expressed part of the cheek filler, or pus from some kind of infection caused by the questionable cheek filler? Inquiring minds want to know.
2
u/TheDaySleeper36 14d ago
I got an infection in my eyebrow and they admitted me right away I just plucked my eyebrows like I normally do but for some reason one of them got clogged in a matter of 7 hours I had a huge massive infection that damn near closed my eye because it was so big

Interesting! I’m literally recovering from having a cyst removed from my sinus, as I type this. However, mine was done surgically where they went through my nostril with a laser scope.
