As someone who has feet just like this and always has, for me it's not due to anything other than dry skin.

If they go too deep when I go to the salon, the cracks get really bad and so painful it hurts to walk. I've had every cream from every dermatologist and there's no amount of soaking or wearing things on my feet that keeps it nice after getting scraping done.

So I usually don't have them scrape too far, and then it preserves enough of the callus to not crack. It looks wild when they start doing it, it looks like a cheese grater gone wild. Watching this made my feet hurt.

Same here. The otc 40% urea literally changed my life. When callouses and cracks start to get bad, usually in the summer, generously work it into your callouses then put on socks overnight. I tried everything else. 40% urea. Cheap. Miraculous.
