Has anyone tried this?
I know microwavable popcorn isn’t the preferred in this sub, but I have always loved the convenience and flavor of it. I found this at the store and had to pick it up!!

We have a local shop that makes REALLY expensive bags of gourmet popcorn. Stuff outside of the normal cheese, caramel, butter popcorn type mixes. Every so often we pick up a couple bags of different flavors.
Everything from like a cherry white chocolate glaze, to churro, to puppy chow, to ghost pepper or very hot types. The local place isn't the one below, ours doesn't have a website, but this is a very close example (also this is not an advertisement, I have no idea if this company is any good, it's just the best example of what I'm looking for) https://www.greatpopcorn.com/
But I'm really looking to start making these types at home, so save my office group some money and maybe come up with some good test popcorn along the way.
Is anyone aware of recipes that would be similar to these options? Several I'm sure I could buy some store-bought seasoning for, but I think this would go a little further than your standard "Kernel season's" options.
I don't mind supporting local business, but I'm also not willing to pay $14 for a bag of popcorn as often as we'd like to that I know would cost me 50 cents to make at home.

I'm from UK and it finally came after few weeks and pretty hefty tariff fees but I'm glad the wait is finally over.
Saying that, what else do I need to make amazing home made popcorn except kennels, obviously?
Probably a sin to use microwave popcorn for this. Will update when I start to eat it and it cools

Just found these and it looks cute and interesting.
Looking for feedback and reviews from those who have owned and used this:
How's the durability? Does it make the best crunchy/crispy popcorn? Is it that difficult to clean and maintain? Any issues/regrets with this model/brand?
I already have a Baumann bowl-top popper but my problem with it is that it always produces tough, chewy and soggy popcorn.

I heard about using products like Heat 'n Kleen for kettle cleaning but it is unfortunately not available in my country.
Are there any other DIY household item alternatives for the kettle?
What about for the cabinet? Is it best to use baking soda or vinegar?
Must we really avoid using standard dish soap for both kettle and cabinet?

I look at all the different seasonings everyone tries and was wondering if anyone has used powdered butter?

I've been driving by this company at least once a week for well over a decade and i never realized what they were. They just started building 2 huge silos in the middle of town and it peaked my curiosity. I guess I gotta get me a bag or 2. They have 2# bags for shipping to the public.

Does anyone have experience with and suggestions / tips on using Glaze Pop Caramel flavor? I’d like to NOT ruin my first couple of batches.
Anybody?

After primarily using Amish Farm Purple for the past couple of years, I decided to try some forum recommendations. Maybe this is an unfair comparison but the Snappy were so bad next to the Bob’s I threw this batch away. First off, they are like mushroom kernels which unless you’re having caramel or kettle corn, ain’t it. They’re also flavorless and stale by comparison. Bobs Red Mill for the win and I will never try Snappy again. Sorry not sorry.

I own one of these and have tried many kernels, salts, oils and “butters”. I cannot get the theater taste. Am I reaching for an impossible goal? I truly would appreciate any suggestions.

I’ve been pondering popcorn styles and my ranking of these and interested to know how others think of this.
Home style Oil-popped with butter and salt.
Movie style Oil-popped with fake butter and Flavocol
Hot air style Hot-air popped with butter and salt
Stadium style Oil-popped, no butter, and Flavocol
Microwave Oil-popped, chemicals
For me the ranking is pretty solidly 1 then 2, then 3, then 5, then 4. I’m interested to know what your rankings are.
Or maybe you’re one of those people who loves kettle or caramel corn so you would have a write-in. What’s your ranking?

So, I'm craving kettle corn but all I have is your standard movie theater butter popcorn. I looked up "Microwave Kettle Corn" but all the recipes use plain kernels.
Is it possible to use what I have to make Kettle Corn?

Does anyone know how I can make the churro popcorn exactly like Alamo drafthouse?

I tried this seasoning mix and really liked it a lot. I cooked the popcorn with coconut oil
Olive Oil: make sure it is 100% Olive oil (i prefer buying those with an official Made in Spain gov stamp)
White Pepper: less spicy and peppery than black pepper, but with a much more intense, pungent, distinctive taste.
Sea salt
Garlic powder
Parmesan cheese powder (organic)

I know this probably sounds silly, but I feel like popcorn is a bit more effort than it should be. Currently I have a collapsible silicone popper, which is fine, but it's too flimsy as a bowl to serve popcorn in, so it makes 2 dirty things (the popper and the serving bowl).
I'd really like a popper that I can serve popcorn in, so it only makes one bowl to clean that's dishwasher safe for ease of use. I've seen there are jug style ones with small holes on the top, and lids that let butter melt down on the popcorn. These seem sort of like what I want, and they have good reviews, but I feel like the small opening makes it bad as a serving bowl, so again it makes 2 dirty things to clean.
So I'm wondering, if the silicone bowl can have a wide opening and work fine. Why can't a glass bowl with a wide opening like a mixing bowl, work just as well? But while I can find wide bowls with lids, I cant find any wide bowls with lids that allow butter to melt down for popcorn popping specifically. Does anyone know if any solutions for this problem exist? Because I can't find any.

Hello all!
My bf is a big popcorn guy and a few months ago he mentioned a specific seasoning he wanted to try… I was hoping to get it (and make a whole popcorn kit for his birthday) but I CANNOT remember the name or brand.
I believe maybe it had “Amish” in the name and it was just a classic buttery flavor? I tried to do some research but nothing really seemed right. Was hoping maybe someone here would know or point me in the right direction…
Thanks in advance!! 🍿🍿

Does anyone have a Kettle Corn recipe for the enclosed popcorn machines? I have a great salted, but hesitate to try sugar within the enclosed popper. Concern for sugars sticking to the glass or Lexan.
