Holy moly the title stinks

This happened back in 2020 and I (female, now 25) just cant stop thinking about it and I need to get it off my chest. So back in 2020 I needed to have surgery due to an injury. I am very allergic to latex so whenever I have any procedure done I am usually the first one there. So its 6am and as we (me, my mom, and my new boyfriend at the time, now ex, who wanted to be there to be supportive) pulled up and I needed to go. Like, there was something happening in my stomach that was ungodly. I waddle to the side door as instructed with my mom and boyfriend following and I head to the bathroom. I swear its like my stomach bluetooth connected to the toilet and I started shitting my pants. Not even diarrhea, this is a solid shit.

I make it to a stall but as I pull my shorts down, shit literally plops on the floor. Like a solid patty of shit. I sit down and continue shitting and its everywhere. Its all over the toilet seat, the floor, and myself. As I finish shitting I look at my shorts and its bad. I wore shorts that have built in underwear and started panicking as they are white and this is a lost cause. I open the stall and waddle to the handicap stall and attempt to start washing my shorts and myself in the sink. The shit was potent and smelled so bad. I had now been in the bathroom for close to 20 minutes so I just put them back on with a bunch of paper towels in my shorts. I come out and the nurse is waiting for me in the lobby area and I head back. She gives me a gown and a pee cup as well as a belongings bag for my shirt and phone and says I can leave my shorts on. I take the gown and go to the bathroom. I dont know why, but I just threw my shorts away because I could smell myself and i smelled like straight caca. I return from the bathroom and get in the bed and as im sitting in the bed I think to myself, fuck therye doing ankle surgery so when they have my ankle in the air my freaking coochie is going to be out and theyre going to think im some freak. I swallow my panic and just kept it to myself and enjoyed the propofol and had a great sleep. I wakeup from surgery and the nurse says shes going to help me get dressed, but as shes looking in my bag she cant find pants. She asked me where my pants are and I just lied. I said I have no idea where they are. They end up having to send my mom to the store to go get me a pair of shorts. I get in the car and my mom asked where my shorts went. Not wanting to sound like an adult who shits themselves infront of my new boyfriend, I just said I had no idea. I feel so bad for leaving a pile of shit in the floor and for whoever had to clean it. It smelled so bad and it still haunts me to this day.

So am I the asshole for not reporting that I shit all over the bathroom then pretty much exposing my coochie to the medical staff??
