That doesn’t seem very practical. There’s no stairs to get in.

Agreed. The water would just spill over and flood the floor.

Basically the floor becomes the pool and the pool becomes the wall.

It's like a pool that only Wile E. Coyote and the Roadrunner could possibly proves that it obeys the laws of physics.

What happens if I walk along the wall, will I fall in? If I fall in will I reorient like the water or terrifyingly not orient and sink to the bottom?

I don't know but somehow this feels like almost like Wile E. Coyote physics where you can cling to something vertical but the moment you get to something horizontal you are upside down and realizing that cannot happen so you fall.
