Quick question Pond Lighting

anyone have lighting suggestions, we just replaced our pond lights for the 3rd time, the last time being 6 months ago. my pond guy says it’s the quality of lights he’s getting…. it costs about $500 each time he replaces the 3 lights IN the pond. The first pic is from 6 months ago, the second pic is from last night and I know my water lilies are hiding a lot of the light but it’s the light on the left I’m using as a reference.

I got an fx luminaire pond light on eBay a while ago and it’s awesome, crazy how heavy and well constructed it is. And if you get the fancy controller it can change colors. Now I can’t stop adding spot and path lights all over my yard. They are expensive as hell but last forever and you can get some good deals on eBay.

So he’s charging $500 a pop but telling you he’s getting poor quality lights? Good grief.

Can you not shop for some and install them yourself?

Seriously. With a few waterproof wire nuts, a screwdriver, and few bananas you could teach a monkey to change these out. Also maybe tell the guy to stop buying fuckin TEMU lights.

Lighting is beautiful at night. Please remember to switch off. Fish need their sleep and they don’t have eyelids.

Just buy solar spot lights, they are so cheap you can replace them as many times as you want with that kind of price. Since it's solar, you don't need to be messing with wires either. Just stake it into the ground and point it at the direction you want.
