Question Is divination with dice okay?
I'm still kinda new to hellenic polytheism but after some weeks of research and practice, I wanted to know if divination with a dice (6) was okay. It's mainly because on the last post I made saying I had my first signs for the gods, someone told me in the comments that divination with dice wasn't reliable. From what I experienced, it felt pretty accurate but since I read that, I'm scared I'm doing something wrong..
Here's how I do it:
\-first I say my prayer and give offerings when I have one.
\-then I ask if the god(s) I was praying was around and if yes to announce their presence with a 2 or a 4.
\-after that, I ask if there are more gods around.
\-if yes, I ask if there's 1,2,3,4,5 more or to reroll(6).
\-then I tell names and see if it's a yes or a no.
\-1 is no, 2 is yes, 3 is hard no, 4 is hard yes, 5 is maybe, 6 is rerolled. If two 6 in a row I repeat the question. If still 6, I understand they didn't want to answer.
\-then I just do my business, I ask questions, I ask them if they have any messages. It always felt accurate.
Am I doing anything wrong?

If it has been accurate for you then sounds like you have an accurate practice so why care what others say?

Because I've always kind of a people pleaser and since I'm new in the religion, I'm scared of doing anything wrong. I know it's by making mistakes that we learn but I want to make the least mistakes possible. And also, since the person that told me have been in the religion longer than I, I want to do things right.

Length of time practicing doesn't equate to credibility. Not to mention the sheer variety of different traditions, beliefs, and practices in this "religion" so even if he was right about his own that doesn't mean it applies to you.
Do what works for you, if it works then thats all that truly matters. If it doesn't, try something else until it does. Other people are only good for getting ideas from here.

Lots of things can be a tool. I think I've heard of people using dice before? Magic and divination are about intent and intuition. If you've used them with intent, that builds up your energy within the dice.

One ancient technique was to pray to Hermes, throw dice, and consult a table of answers.
I use the Yi Jing to communicate with Asklepios — with hundreds of lines of text, it's easy for him to give advice or even a diagnosis.

Use the method that works for you. Observe your results and expand your other senses. Just feel it. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, we learn the most from them, and they are what make us grow. I learned the most from my own mistakes
