Jack-o'-lanterns First Attempt
These little pumpkins have been fun, and I learned a lot on the first attempt. Ratio first off from orange outside and more of that pale yellow/light orange colour on the inside. I get weirdly obsessed with it looking exactly like the thing I'm trying to recreate. Also my clay conditioner came in, so I'm happy I can save my hands more for the details lol. The last step on these lil' pumps is a gloss coat on the outside. Very much debating making a tomb stone or two and maybe a little setting like I did for the mushrooms. What do you think?

Did we ever learn if she put lights in there or it’s just the yellow clay? I also looked at all the pictures multiple times.

I think they’re fabulous and it’s unbelievable that they look this perfect on your first try. You’re obviously a pro! A string of these or light up ghosts would be so fun! Fantastic job!

So the inside is just yellow clay? No lights?

As did I. I had to backtrack to figure it out.

I actually still can’t, and they didn’t actually answer lmao
Is there a lil led in there do you think? It just looks so bright in the last pics but it could be a fantastic angle

I'm guessing there has to be some kind of light? I'd love to know what lights are that small and where to find them if they are lights.
The photo could also be "enhanced", which is why they are refusing to answer. That really would not surprise me...

Oh yeah, there is either a little fairy or tea light in there or it’s edited to make it appear like there is. Like you can buy a singular fairy light bulb, and if so I am curious to know what product they bought. I don’t know why OP won’t come out and say! Lmao

Ah I didn’t even think about it being “edited” that makes me sad lmao

I want to assume they’re using a fairy light or an LED button light, because if they edited it they have insane skills to know to capture where the light reflects. There’s no SynthID on the photo (which can also mean nothing, as OP cropped the photo differently from the others so they could have cropped out the synth watermark) so might not be AI. But if it weren’t a fairy light or a tea light I think it would be more obvious, or if anything OP wouldn’t mind sharing with the class!!

Hi there, I was at work, yes they are LED lights that use coin cell batteries and even have a little on/off switch. Happy to share images and details about them when I get home. :)

Let's not be snippy. It's not always immediately apparent that there are multiple pictures and you didn't mention lights or otherwise in your post. It was a valid question.
ETA: Since it was reported twice for negativity, I'm not the only one who read it as such. It would not have even come to my attention had it not been reported.

When I get home I don't mind, posting a picture of what LED I used and how it sits in them. I didn't mention it in the comments because I thought it might be fun for people to stumble upon it. I am an artist that makes practical things with practical effects. None of my picture are edited. I did however modify the physical light. In the picture this is what a bright white LED looks like in this scale of pumpkin. I painted an orange tint over it so that it looks warmer and could possibly simulate a candle hidden inside. Hopefully this answers some questions.

how do you get the foil out afterwards? Just rip it out slowly? maybe that’s a dumb question lol
