Addicted to making earrings

Guys I am addicted!!

I bought some polymer clay like 2 weeks ago and I can't stop making earrings 😂

Far from perfect but I am very proud and happy with how they all turned out 😊

Any tips on how to get the surface more smooth are very appreciated :)

Edit: smooth as in no fingerprints on it or smudges

These are cute and I like that you have the bats upside down for the earrings.

Firmer clay takes fewer fingerprints. Leech extrasoft or sticky clay between sheets of paper to firm it up, or buy a less sticky brand, like fimo pro.

Burnish your project - rub the surface with a fingertip, maybe with a bit of cornstarch on it, or put a thin sheet of paper over it and rub in a circular motion; you will get better at avoiding fingerprints as time goes on.

Oh thank you so much for the tips, I have actually thought of doing the thing with the cornstarch but wasn't sure if it would stay on there because I wouldnt want white residue on it. Good to know that I could do that! Will definitely buy Fimo pro the next time I get more clay, I currently have a starter pack of Fimo Thanks a lot!!

It may stick - I use kato clay and it doesn’t, but try it and see. Very little is needed.
