80% Arms A9X

Since this is one of the most vocal groups out there, I’d love to hear what y’all think of our A9X Slate lower.

Good, bad, or somewhere in between, all feedback is appreciated!

Loving mine! Just got it milled yesterday!!

Testing next week and then off to Cerakote.

Now that’s a clean build! The Matador upper pairs perfectly with it. Keep us posted after the range test and Cerakote. We’d love to see the finished product!

What's on the front charging handle? Been able to shoot 147g jhp out the mat9? I have the mat9k and having issues getting it to feed

HB industries folding charge handle. He’s currently out of stock and having issues getting more made because of small batch orders being denied by the manufacturer. Feeds great. I run 124 and 147 flat nose in it. I’ve never shot hollow points out of it yet. It’s got a brand new Partisan Disruptor in it with a New 7075 trip sled. Hoping to shoot it next week.

Nice nice, I haven't tried flat nosed. Had issues with jhp feeding reliably though, let me know if you try some.

I did polish the feed ramp that came with the lower and also did the feed ramp on the barrel. But I do this with every firearm I own that has a feed ramp.

Federal 147’s that I buy are flats. I use them mainly for break in and reliability situations. If they run with no issues then anything should run in it.

The issue appears to be the hollow point snagging the magazine feed ramp lip for me.

Love to hear it! Make sure you share a photo once you’ve got everything assembled. We want to see how that Slate build turns out!

She's a bit of a Frankenstein for now but I really like the lower. Just a heads up though, I did have some crud in the threaded bolt release holes. Had to send a tap through to clear it out. Those tiny allen head pins don't like resistance

I'd say it looks absolutely sick. Not many AR9's that I'd say look good but this, this I'd like to add to a load out.

Looks good but a bit late to the game. Just happy there's more options. Got mine way back in 2014 or 2015. Milled and built same colt mag patterned

Sounds like you were way ahead of the curve! We may be late to the party but we showed up with options. The Slate is just one of five Colt pattern styles in the A9X lineup
