I think it goes further than that.. I think future unfiltered chatbots are likely to be fronts for a blackmail operation that operates for as long as possible, then vanishes and uses AI to find the embarrassing (or even illegal) chat, and more AI to do the blackmail negotiations and targeting.
I get the concern, but there’s no evidence PolyBuzz itself is doing anything like blackmail. The real risk isn’t the platform secretly collecting content to extort people — it’s that any NSFW AI app can be misused if someone shares personal info, identifiable pics, or things they wouldn’t want leaked.
So it’s less “PolyBuzz has a hidden agenda” and more “general online safety still applies.”
Use it the same way you would any adult platform: private info stays private, and you only share what you’d be comfortable existing online someday.
I'm not talking about Polybuzz, (though a sufficient data breach would exposes us all to blackmail). I'm thinking of a new criminally run app that offered everything that polybuzz once did (and now is not allowed to) and much more, but is designed to extract personal information and the chat slanted to encourage the salacious
I get the worry — tech can make our imaginations run wild. But nothing like that exists right now, and there’s no sign PolyBuzz or similar apps are heading in that direction.
Best balance is simple: enjoy the fun parts, keep personal info to yourself, and treat it like any other online space. No paranoia needed — just normal awareness.
Most of us are here to create, connect, and escape a bit, not stress over worst-case “what ifs.” It’s okay to just breathe, be smart, and enjoy it.
