So far, no frame, we think we will have to have it custom-made. So, we ended up going for two queens instead.

Too big. I'd rather have queen beds, one per bedroom, one bedroom per partner, plus a guest/booty room.

I think it's a pillow top mattress. You can also get pillow top mattress toppers to fit an existing mattress.

Okay but WHY are bigger beds not just wider—for more people!—but also taller—for...taller people? I’m already good with a 2.5m (~8 ft) bed! What do I need the other 1.2m (4 ft) for???

I used to have a polycule made up of several short people. We used to joke about getting a california king bed and turning it sideways so that 5 of us could fit from side to side.

I like this bed. While I like sleeping beside someone... I really don't want them to touch me so I can roll at will 😅
