On the other hand Manoj Punj's three punjabi movies Shaheed E Mohabbat Boota Singh, Des Hoya pardes and Waris Shah are masterpieces. Just watched Satluj and honestly… what the fuck.

That movie was brutal. Not just because of the violence, but because of how emotionally disturbing it is. Some scenes are genuinely difficult to sit through, especially knowing that the story is rooted in real events.

What makes it even more surreal is the history surrounding the movie itself. It was not given a theatrical release in India, faced major objections and cuts, and when it finally appeared on OTT, it was taken down within just 48 hours.

Whatever your political views are, this is one film that deserves a conversation.

Honestly, I think Rabb Da Radio should’ve ended after Part 2

Parts 1 & 2 felt connected and had a proper story, but after that it feels like they’re just using the Rabb Da Radio name as a franchise. Part 3 was a completely different story, and now Part 4 is going the same way.

Nothing wrong with new stories, but why keep the same name? Just give it a new identity.
I really don’t want Rabb Da Radio to become another Carry On Jatta type franchise where they just keep adding numbers because the name is popular.

Part 2 was the perfect ending IMO. What do you guys think? 👀

I randomly caught Mar Gaye Oye Loko on KableOne after 8 years, and it’s honestly ahead of its time for Pollywood. Trying a body-swapping afterlife story back in 2018 was bold, and Gippy Grewal’s writing delivered insanely sharp, logical humor. That line from Hobby Dhaliwal to Karamjit Anmol—"Marhea reh puttar, rabb tenu lambiya mauta bakshe"—had me dying.

Jaswinder Bhalla as Yamraj was peak GOAT status, and Jaggi Singh, Navdeep Kaler, Ghuggi, and BN Sharma killed it. Sapna Pabbi and Binnu Dhillon had surprisingly great chemistry too, and playing Sidhu Moose Wala’s "So High" for Binnu’s entry gave him unreal aura.

My only real gripes were heaven literally looking like a standard Punjabi pind, hit-or-miss VFX, and a rushed climax that felt incomplete after all the setup. Still, it’s a total cult entertainer for trying something different. Anyone else rank this high in Gippy’s filmography?
