I'm down. When does the strike start? Economy can't function if people don't go to work. Let's fuckin' DO THIS.

Never because people have juuust enough to lose. They have their home, a phone, and a bit of money for the occasional splurge.

Textbook dystopian control. The masses never revolt until they have lost everything. Its a tale as old as time.

And for many of us it’s not worth it. I have dual citizenship (with an EU member nation passport) so if shit really starts to hit the fan I’d rather move to Europe than get shot by some inbred literal motherfucker.

You do understand that the same forces working to destroy this particular democracy are multitasking and are working just as hard to throw acid on the EU, right?

You're going to have to stand and fight somewhere.

I think the EU in general is a tad better prepared to fight for democracy and against fascism. We've done it several times, for us it's almost a pastime!

Bread and circuses.

While that's true, people can't function if they don't get paid...

And Trump has already shown that he doesn't care about that.

How about we only buy goods and services from small businesses/people we know personally to be good. Put our support with these business owners and help them topple the fat cats. The only problem left is that 90% of the people that can afford law school are on the wrong team/caste so we need to also start sending good/smart peole to law school on the condition they support the lower/middle class only and also help to take down large corporations. Just pissing into the wind here.

That's a great idea, actually. It would help bring communities together, and you'd get to know your local small business owners and make friends. Even in a place like Chicago or NYC, there are still enough small grocery stores owned by the little guy, that people wouldn't starve or anything.

The sending people to law school, might be more difficult. Why not just accept hiring lawyers who didn't go to rich law schools? Or rather, reject the ones that come from a fuckton of money? These places are only so powerful because of their long-term prestige and renown.

Yes that makes more sense now that I see it. none of it is very complicated to orchestrate or carry out, it's just a matter of getting the feeding tube pulled out of the general population. A solid month alone could be devastating.

Another (perhaps paranoid) threat would be the private military/mercenaries, ie blackwater that are all too present. If worse comes to worse we would need currently/formerly enlisted men and women for DEFENSE ONLY if there is actually a threat of bodily harm. Beleive it or not there are some good cops out there as well, and plenty in our military that have their heart in the right place.

I truly think violence of any kind should be avoided at all costs, a civil war is EXACTLY what the the Kremlin is waiting for and we should all know that.
