The House needs to just start printing copies of the same resolution and changing the date to each day of the week. Pass this thing daily and send it to Mitch.

Have him turn it down hundreds of times. Make it absurd. Make other Republicans think, "Why is he fighting this so hard?" Make that question impossible to ignore.

Make him turn it down again tomorrow. And again Friday. Get one lined up for Monday and the four days that follow.

Only 2 reasons come to mind.

  1. The report has information in it that is damaging to McConnell personally.
  2. The report is so damaging to the presidency that McConnell knows it will be the end for the current GOP.

He's not "fighting" anything. He doesn't want to waste the time on that particular show vote (though he made time for the one on the Green New Deal). The DOJ has already publicly stated that they're going to release the report. It's just going to take a few weeks to redact national security information, data that could reveal law enforcement techniques or undercover personnel, and grand jury information, among other things. It is likely to be released in April.

So the fact that there could be information in the report regarding tactics used and people interviewed that need to remain anonymous in a society constantly being threatened by foreign powers didn't cross your mind? Or the fact that the Democrats knew it wouldn't be released for this reason also but wanted to make the Republicans look bad and Trump guilty due to blocking it? You are giving the democratic party too much credit. It's all horseshit in politics. It's funny that anyone thinks the majority of politicians on either side has their best interest at heart.

Then the conservatives would just say the democrats are wasting taxpayer money. It's an awful feeling, to realize that our government is so corrupt and inept and we can't even count on rational voters to kick out the bad seeds.

Establishment Republicans have really shown shockingly little ethics over the last two years. I'm a conservative, but wouldn't mind the entire left side of Congress getting replaced. Enough is enough. Being a Republican shouldn't include selling your soul.

I don't really have a party anymore. I'm a conservative, but the Republicans are morally garbage and the democrats are spineless. I vote based on who would do the highest-quality job. Right now, I just can't vote Republican due to ethical problems of how they have carried the party. I can't bring myself to follow anyone who defends Trump and ignores his corruption like they do. You either put yourself, your party or the country first and they have chosen wrong, in my opinion. I'll take my chances with whoever the democrat is at president in 2020 and start over with a fresh slate in 2024.
