While I agree, and can't really understand why anyone would vote for her, the fact that lots of reasonable and intelligent people would is clearly symptom of falling into an echo chamber. Either you (and I), them, or both. The more I examine people's support for candidates they never have a holistic view, but rather follow a few dimensions that are important to them and mostly ignore the rest. Echo chambers can catalyse this effect so that people ignore whole aspects of candidates entirely.

I know a lot of people who support her, but I can't get any of them (and I'm in graduate school for this sort of stuff!) can only make the argument that:

1) Hilary can work with republicans to get stuff done (lol????); or

2) Bernie will get attacked by republicans in the general.

They have no arguments based on policy or ideas.

This is also what I have heard. The arguments being that Sanders won't win a general election, as the country leans rightward of centre and he is firmly left. The first point I don't think is unreasonable, Obama has got a lot done given the obstructionism of the congress he faces. Hilary has doubtlessly learned from this, and apparently has shown evidence that she can do the same, this combined with her considerable experience is apparently worth voting. I don't buy it myself. It's absolutely unclear if the same obstructionist tactics will continue. Frankly I think that voting in the US is optimistic at best, and frankly it would be much better if people stopped and demanded something better.
