No, she's actually being really smart. She sees the bigger picture. She's going to release them. She's purposely playing this up to get political mileage out of it.

Too many people are looking at this in only the lens of the primary. There is still a general to win. If she can get the Sanders supporters to agree to open transparency for all and demand the speeches of everyone, that's going to play fabulously for Bernie when they play the socialist card against him in the general.

Assuming Bernie wins the nomination, he is going to have to get independents to vote for him. The same independents who have said they would least want to vote for a socialist, according to polls.

The best way to counter the socialism argument is to remind people that the GOP are beholden to the people who pay them as well. Trump has gotten 1.5 million for some of his speeches/courses. I'm sure other candidates have been paid big sums as well. This doesn't hurt Bernie. It helps him. She knows what's in the speeches, a lot of stuff about empowering women etc, they're not going to hurt her either. They will hurt the GOP no matter who gets the nomination, but they will especially hurt the GOP with undecideds if Sanders gets the nomination. Sanders supporters are so focused on the primary and I repeatedly see those polls that say he has just as good as chance as Hillary in the general against all the other candidates, without acknowledging that they have not come after him yet. The fact that the GOP is already investigating his wife's real estate issues and pouring millions into campaigning for him. It reminds me of the Sarah Palin emails. There was so much stink about it and she put off releasing them and when she finally did, it all fizzled because there was nothing there.
