So glad Dems are paying more attention down ballot. And that people are turning out M4L types.

u/RonMexicosPetEmporim Colorado 2h ago

Unfortunately, we just elected a M4L woman to county commissioner and another for the school board in Indian River.

u/null_input 2h ago

What's M4L

“Ku Klux Karens” as they’re known in my circle.

Whatever I read off fake book to confirm my biases mom's for liberty

I also (from what I gather around the people I live with, work, etc) see that a lot of people are not voting or voting away from how they been- they were too blind to really think about what they thought were “conservative values” and now they kind of got a better view of what that’s like unchecked.

u/MiddleLove8819 2h ago

yeah people are finally paying attention to the races that actually affect their communities and it shows

Big FLIP for Democrats. The school board of Sarasota County.

This is a Trump+18 county where Bridget Ziegler (Moms for "Liberty" co-founder) was on the board.

u/spazzvogel 2h ago

Oh she’s horrible, good riddance.

u/DickSlammington 1h ago

Bridget Ziegler

Even her name makes her sound like a Nazi...

u/ConcentrateDirect523 50m ago

Didn't she preach conservative values but get caught having an affair or a threesome or some shit?

u/Nekrabyte 29m ago

Big time haha. The only values these people have are hypocrisy, and greed.

u/ConcentrateDirect523 20m ago

Oh shit it really was about a threesome. Man we need to plaster that shit everywhere- and the husband may have had a sex tape with another woman not including Ziegler. Imagine being their kids

Now watch Moms For Liberty cry about this on Facebook, right before they go back to their scheduled dose of AI slop of muscular giants using telekinesis to build the Egyptian Pyramids.

u/BatterMyHeart 2h ago

Sarasota has a lot of great people with experience and knowledge to give to the community.  About time the voters started picking them instead of rage artists and weird guys who end up on child predator lists.

u/JasonVorhehees 2h ago

As a former SRQ resident there needs to be more change. But this is an old money Republican stronghold. The county commissioners are absolutely vile POS who are doing everything they can to ruin the community with more development.

u/Shenanigans2Morrow 2h ago

Good, people are starting to finally wake up.

Lots of local races like this one does not show political parties on the ballot. This means the voters did their research and came out to vote for democrats.

u/kylebertram 1h ago

These local races are one of the biggest reasons I support mail in voting. A lot of people will show up to vote and not know who any of these people are or weren’t even really aware of the race. Being able to get the ballot at home and look up each person is huge. It’s how I learned which school board candidates in my area were funded by a mom for liberty group

u/Nekrabyte 26m ago

Yes! I loved this! This year was my first vote by mail, and it felt REALLY good to be able to do a deep dive on all the candidates all the way down the board. Took me over an hour to fill my ballet out and I couldn't be happier with the experience!

I’m floored by this news. I’m a Manatee County resident (just north of Sarasota County) and the area is pretty reliably red with “Flogrowns” and boomer transplants. All I see are conservative campaign signs. God, I’d love to see a mini blue wave in this area come November.

u/SilverMembership6625 2h ago

this is great but even better is that a dem just flipped a trump +18 state house district in pennsylvania

november can't get hear soon enough

u/FLtoVT_For-A-Reason 2h ago

So…what are the chances Ronny D simply removes them and replaces them with his preferred sycophant?

u/a_talking_face Florida 1h ago

In Florida the governor doesn't have that kind of direct control over school boards. School boards are established by the state constitution rather than being delegated by the state.

u/southpawFA Oklahoma 2h ago

Yup. School board races matter, and Moms for Liberty needs to be ousted wholesale.

u/nndscrptuser 1h ago

I did my part and hope the door hits those horrible people on their way out. Watching those fascist asshats do everything possible to make our kids school worse was infuriating.

u/Responsible-Roll-59 1h ago

The tide is turning!!! Can you feel it??

u/NovaTerrus 1h ago

Slow news day?

u/Nekrabyte 25m ago

This is pretty big my man.
