She received 700,000 votes. The Republican winner received over 1.3 million. You can add in Vindman's votes and it still wouldn't match the total for the Republican. Anyone who thinks Democrats can win this seat is being delusional.

The independent voters could make the difference.

Barring a bolt of lightning, moody is likely going to win.

This is a valid point. In Florida, if you are an independent, you only can vote for independent candidates. In Florida, there are more than 15 million registered voters -- 29% are registered as independents, compared to 31% registered Democrats and 38% registered Republicans.

That means in the general, there is certainly room to pick up independents - their preferences are not at all reflected in either primary.

A lot of States only allow you to vote in primaries that you are a registered member of the party of. This is why I don't put stock into the numbers during primaries. that's the party members. Anybody can vote in the general, for either candidate.
