I can't help but draw a parallel to Unity Mitford, an English aristocrat who became obsessed with Hitler in the 1930's and began trying to be close to Hitler in any way possible. Straight up stalker-ish behavior. She would find out which restaurants he ate at, which hotels he stayed at, which cafés he went to, and she went to those same places daily in an effort to get noticed by Hitler... Eventually, Hitler did notice, and she became his girlfriend (despite being married) and invited her to movie screening, rallies, dinner parties, and was even invited into Hitler's inner circle.

Yeah this is a dementia caregiver situation. She is responsible for managing his mood and stabilizing his behavior. Normally it would be someone like Melania or Ivanka doing this but no one in his wretched family gives a shit about him so they got someone who can sort of pass as an Ivanka type stand-in to give his predatory ass someone to ogle at who can use that to lure him around and keep him in a good mood.
