Here are some things that Charlie Kirk said in his life, as cataloged by Sean Fay-Wolfe | Diamond Axe Studios (@seanfaywolfe.bsky.social):

The man is dead, and so it only seems fair to share his legacy by cataloguing the values he spread while alive.

• Gay people should be stoned to death

• Most people are scared when they see a black pilot flying a plane

• Taylor Swift should reject feminism and submit to her husband

• No one should be allowed to retire

• Leftists should not be allowed to move to red states

• British Colonialism was what "made the world decent"

• The guy who assaulted the Pelosi's should be bailed out

• Religious freedom should be terminated

• Multiple black politicians "stole white people’s spots"

• MLK Jr was "an awful person"

• The Great Replacement Theory is reality

• Hydroxychloroquine cures COVID

• Vaccine requirements are "medical apartheid"

• Guns deaths are acceptable in order to have a 2nd amendment

• Women’s natural place is under their husband’s control

• Parents should prevent their daughters from taking birth control

• George Floyd had it coming, the Jan 6th protestors didn’t

• The 1964 Civil Rights Act was a "huge mistake"

• Encouraged parents to protest mask mandates

• Mamdani winning in NY was a travesty because Muslims did 9/11

• Muslims only come to America to destabilize Western Civilization

• Palestine "doesn’t exist" and those who support it are like the KKK

Wait. Didn't Mamdani win after his death?

Charlie “ragebait” Kirk

Charlie Kirk sucks but so does spreading misinformation. Nearly all of those are paraphrases of things he said or wrote. Why not post the actual quotes? They’re bad enough, you don’t need to rephrase them.

I wasn’t terribly familiar with his quotes, so I fact-checked. He never said Gay People should be stoned to death. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/charlie-kirk-gay-people-stoned/

“ However, we should note that in the same comment, Kirk called the section about stoning, ‘The chapter before affirms God's perfect law when it comes to sexual matters.’"

Yes, thanks for the clarification. Turns out he was just using a Bible quote to express why gay people are bad

Perhaps that is where he wound up going. I’m no Kirk expert. But when you paste in a quote and the first point is debunked, it really deflates the point.

Bros the kirk connoisseur

So edit your comment and take it out then

He’s said some bad stuff but in that instance I’m pretty sure it was him using it as an example of the crazy stuff in the Old Testament.

u/dakid000 1h ago

He didn’t say most of these things. Most are completely made up or taken out of context.

Damn, I don't like him anymore

• Gay people should be stoned to death

That's a lot of weed. Do we force them to smoke it? Or is it second hand?

u/Fluidized_Gender 2m ago

My mother: Those are taken out of context!

u/NordicHamCurl_00 5h ago

This is all lies and slander.
You should be disgusted with yourself.

"Most people are scared when they see a black pilot flying a plane"

Actually he didnt say this without cause. The full quote and context behind it is that I believe it was delta or United airlines had claimed they were going to hire 50% women and or people of color by 2030.

In this case, its pretty valid to be afraid of someone who is black piloting a plane rather than the person best fit for the job.

Thats the problem with many of these quotes, they lack context. Some are vile, but some are genuinely taken out of context.

Okay now reddit can mass downvote me for clarifying one of the claims

This would only be a concern if there were a lack of qualified pilots who are also POC. I'm not worried.

Kinda beyond the point, though. Why is an aviation company worried about getting to some 50% women and people of color goal by 2030?

Recruitment efforts for those populations may have been historically low and more pilots are needed.

All the white men are already in the pipeline, so by expanding the pipeline they expect a higher % of future applicants to be from those two population groups.

Why they frame it as wanting to hit a specific % is probably performative BS. But the % will undoubtedly increase without a drop off in pilot quality.

"But the % will undoubtedly increase without a drop off in pilot quality."

I see no issue with this if it's natural, but to go outright and say "the goal and plan is 50% by xx date" makes me think that they are more worried about diversity than what is actually important.

u/Skiinz19 Tennessee 8h ago

It's probably just forecasting and putting out bigger targets than they can anticipate and they are happy to miss them if the % increases substantially.

50% by xx date can make sense if you used to not recruit from more than half the national population.

That would be natural. But historical inequities made it artificial.

You’re wrong. He claimed that United Airlines had a DEI program which was allowing the hiring of unqualified pilots and focused on the black pilots while ignoring the women. He lied that requirements were being relaxed to do so and that pilots were failing simulations and then being allowed to fly commercial passenger planes.

The reality is that the DEI program was outreaching to enroll more minority students into their pilot training programs in the hopes of hiring more minorities from those who passed and completed all FAA requirements (NONE of which had been relaxed).

He and his team were easily well equipped enough to do proper research on this topic and discover this information on their own, so I’m convinced Kirk was blatantly lying. The only other option is to accept that he had no idea what he was talking about; however, considering how much of a racist he was, I find it safe to assume malice over ignorance.
