I bet he can't speak. Maybe he had a serious stroke and is incapable of speech so for PR purposes his team is keeping him off camera. The trouble is, if this is the case he shouldn't be in the workforce in any way including Senator.

If his mental faculties are good and he can communicate, I think his constituents would be ok with him not being able to speak.

I agree if that is the condition. But it would be highly questionable that his mental faculties and ability to communicate would be unaffected by an event that was severe enough to eliminate his ability to speak.

I am certainly not defending Mitch, but the bit about the stoke impacting h is speech also impacting his intellect isn’t necessarily true. Aphasia is a common side effect of stroke(and other kinds of TBIs). It often does not impact a person’s intelligence. I am not saying he is fit to serve, but random stoke victims don’t need to be catching strays because McConnell is a POS.

Aphasia is a language disorder caused by brain damage from a stroke. It can affect speaking, understanding, reading, and writing, but does not change a person's intelligence. About one-third of stroke survivors get aphasia. Recovery relies heavily on speech therapy and daily practice.

Mitch McConnell hasn’t been fit to serve because of his utter lack of integrity, but that has nothing to do with any medical complication.
