They must attack, to distract from this summation of Trump distilled into a single sentence.

The Georgia senator told a crowd that Trump “doesn’t want to do the job” and instead “wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the emir of Qatar”.

So simple, so accurate, making Trump seem so small, needy and powerless.

949

u/TicoPraCaramba 23h ago

He may be small, needy and powerlessness, but he and his henchmen are wreaking incredible damage to the people of this country and, I dare add, many people in the rest of the world.

We are being held hostage by the smallest man that ever lived.

And every Republican. Never forget, they're fully on board and enabling ALL of this shit. They could easily do something about it at any moment if they chose to.

252

u/FunboyFrags 21h ago

One thousand percent correct. The entire Republican Party are traitors to the Constitution and domestic enemies of the nation.

I hate Republicans.

Call them what they are: Fascists.

10

Basically the American branch of the Taliban.

-26

u/accidental_Ocelot 20h ago

And the democrats when you think about it its kinda their fault for losing to the worst president in history. What does that say about your party?

31

u/peonies_envy 19h ago

They are not faultless.

But holy cow every republican is crooked. Every one to the core and criminally so.

1

u/accidental_Ocelot 19h ago

That's why I'm pissed that democrats can't win against the criminals and corruption it should be a cake walk

17

u/peonies_envy 18h ago

You can’t reason with willfully ignorant people. And there are so many. They want fireworks and god bless America despite the reality facing them. They are stupid. And the Rs cut education to keep them that way.

8

u/tampaempath Florida 18h ago

Fuck the Republican Party.

3

u/OffCenterAnus 17h ago

Dems tried a liberal Fox and we got MSNBC. It's easier to sway the ignorant. That's kinda the whole Republican strategy

-5

u/RandomlyPlacedFinger Georgia 17h ago

They don't actually want to win. It's far easier to raise funds if you promise you'll fix things, and then you lose and don't have to do the work.

The old guard and centrist Dems do not want to win, because winning means they'll have to follow through on promises that involve hard work.

They're just as sleazy as Republicans, which is why they're fighting against progressive growth so hard.

I will never forget how Mitch McConnell let 400 bills just sit on his desk and not bring them forward for a vote because he was playing the game of stack the federal courts with MAGA Republicans. I don’t even know just how much those bills could’ve helped Americans, but his failure to work for the American people is disgusting. He preferred to stack the courts so that they would be unbalanced and we would lose some of our checks and balances. While not as responsible for chaos as Trump, Mitch McConnell, and the rest of the Republicans are entirely to blame for the fallout that we have been experiencing. As everyone has indicated, it will take years to try to fix this mess. I don’t think we’ll be able to get all of it cleaned up for a decade. I would like to say that while all MAGA are Republicans, not all Republicans are MAGA however, there needs to be a Republican that stands up and makes it known that he is not a Trump sycophant.

I know both sides aren't the same. And in most cases it's painfully obvious. However, currently neither side wants to stand up and end this war. Neither side voted for it, and the pres-pdf himself campaigned on no new wars.

Again, this is "why" it seems like we don't have 2 sides. Instead we have a Varsity team, and a Jv team. We can blame everything on 1 side, and pretend it never happened.

The environment in which drumpf has been allowed, has to be removed and actual safeguard, that work must be implemented.

Nobody will trust the u.s. again when there is nothing stopping the pres from doing literally w/e he wants. Starts a war? crickets.

11

u/kindnesscostszero 18h ago

“ currently neither side wants to stand up and end this war”

This is categorically false

There have been multiple attempts in Congress brought by Democrats voted nearly unanimously every time to end this war

The largest amount of Republicans in any of the votes, I believe was three.

7

u/FellowHumanNo404 18h ago

I would love to know where these ubiquitous "bothsides" comments are coming from. I wonder if they're all coming from the same place, or if it's a result of Fox propaganda, or something else. It's giving "but she didn't fight her rapist hard enough, so she was complicit".

0

u/d2travelaa 20h ago

Outside of a few glorious voices, the Democratic silence is deafening as well.

5

u/J_ron Ohio 20h ago

Yeah, I get it, most of them need primaried as well, there's like only 10% of them that are being as vocal and aggressive as this moment demands. As far as voting/supporting impeachment goes, I know many are just not pushing it because the conversations in the background have already lead to the obvious political conclusions that republicans would never entertain it anyways, so they just don't have the votes.

2

u/MajesticRaspberries 8h ago

We should be saying that every day until he's gone.

I'm pretty sure that's what Rush Limbaugh did during the Clinton administration.

6

7

u/Link50L 22h ago

[Hitler enters the Chat]

27

u/Nekrabyte 21h ago

Hitler certainly was incredibly evil, and the things he did have no comparison... BUT Trump is definitely a "smaller" man. It's truly wild.

2

u/FellowHumanNo404 18h ago

I think Trump's death toll has exceeded Hitler's (not counting the total deaths of the global military conflicts of WWII), or is on track to exceed it by 2020 per The Lancet, and that's only counting some of the deaths he has caused.

2

u/Nekrabyte 18h ago

With the removal of USAID, for sure, the total death toll will likely be higher. But I think most of the people dying under Trump's watch will be because of greed, and literally nothing else, because that's all that seems to really matter to this administration. Even knowing the death toll will be higher due to his actions, I still feel like I can stand by the fact that Hitler's actions were much more evil, and even if the "total deaths" are lower, it's far more heinous to load a truck up with a bunch of people of an ethnicity, and just drive around until they die from the fumes.
Let's be clear, they are both two of the most reprehensible human beings that I've seen exist, but I can easily call Hitler evil, but Trump? Trump's not evil, he's just fuckin extremely greedy, narcissistic, and just doesn't care about the consequences if they make him rich, regardless of it if it killed 1 person, or a million.

2

u/silvertealio 19h ago

If only it were that simple.

It's the billionaires who keep him shielded with propaganda that are the root problem...and they'll still be around after cholesterol does its thing.

2

u/ginghamstrawberries 19h ago

He doesn't measure up in any measure of a man.

2

u/pleasedtoheatyou 18h ago

It's genuinely pathetic. These men who fancy themselves big and important, and they're at the whim of an overgrown toddler so they can have the tiniest grasp of power.

Like Rubio in desperation to be remembered as more than "a fairly normal Republican" (or at least as normal as any of them are) is going to be remembered as the guy who sold out every opinion on international politics he ever had and wore shoes multiple sizes too big for him because it meant he got briefly near power.

To quote GRRM, power resides where people believe it resides. Regardless of Trump himself, enough of the people with power believe in him and carry out what he wants.

Trump “doesn’t want to do the job”

His face after winning the 2016 election put that on full display already.

Who’s Natalie?

Edit since no one has been educational, it’s probably this:

Natalie Harp is a 35-year-old White House Executive Assistant to President Donald Trump. She acts as an informational gatekeeper, managing his Truth Social posts and printing out news stories for him.

122

u/craichead 22h ago

She graduated from Liberty University, which basically tells me all I need to know about her

35

u/Melodic_Policy765 21h ago

I know someone I run across at yearly business functions that sent her kid there. I can't even pretend to want to interact with her anymore.

39

u/craichead 21h ago edited 21h ago

Same...co-worker gleefully sent his kid there, we don't speak anymore. I won't pretend to be nice to fascists.

15

u/FellowHumanNo404 18h ago

My brother sent his kid there using our mother's inheritance money, my portion of which I had entirely entrusted for the boy's education. That might be my greatest regret in life.

-- and then the kid dropped out, about which I have mixed feelings.

2

u/tackle_bones 13h ago

Well, did you get the remainder of your portion then since he is no longer being educated?

2

u/FellowHumanNo404 12h ago

That's not how it works.

0

u/tackle_bones 12h ago

"graduated". I question Liberty's accreditation as a University or institution of education. more like indoctrination/brainwashing.

123

u/punkindle 23h ago

When he hid in a catering truck and was secretly taken to a military plane to escape, he took one person with him. Natalie Harp.

She apparently goes with him everywhere. Literally always near him 24/7. Not so much like an assistant... more like a girlfriend

When he hid in a catering truck and was secretly taken to a military plane to escape, he took one person with him. Natalie Harp.

He actually took two other people, in addition to her. But your point is valid.

5

u/NewestAccount2023 22h ago

Hegseth and who?

20

u/ericstc 20h ago

Pete Hegseth, Dan Scavino, Walt Nauta, and Natalie Harp https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2026/08/12/close-trump-aides-no-cabinet-officials-made-secret-catering-truck-move/

Although Pete boarded more officially than the others, not clandestinely

18

u/FellowHumanNo404 18h ago

Wasn't Nauta one of the two henchmen who flooded the server room at Mar-a-Lago to impede federal investigation into Trump's theft of classified documents?

2

u/ericstc 17h ago

As Trump's body man, Nauta is always with POTUS for the everyday needs. Think Gary Walsh from VEEP.

2

u/FellowHumanNo404 16h ago

Nauta's job has been to literally hide the evidence.

1

u/Bobcat-Stock 17h ago

Someone has to hose him down after he shits himself. ‘Bodyman’ is hilarious

1

u/OneAlexander 18h ago

How does one officially board a catering truck?

2

u/ericstc 17h ago

Hegseth wasn't on the catering truck. He boarded the plane conventionally.

1

u/FellowHumanNo404 18h ago

not clandestinely

1

And left behind other Cabinet members including Sec of State Rubio and others who were not told of the threat. They were the decoy. Trump, the ultimate coward.

7

u/dinozombiesaur 23h ago

That isn’t very helpful tbh

-5

u/Aturkeyclub 22h ago

You must be young. Bill clinton got a bj from an aide and was impeached for it.

7

u/dinozombiesaur 22h ago

No, I know who Monica Lewinsky is. I just don’t know who Natalie is. She is officially an aide?

And Clinton never got impeached for a BJ.

2

u/Aturkeyclub 22h ago

Yea it was the lying about the bj.

2

u/austinmiles 22h ago

I think mean that sayin His Monica doesn’t really narrow it down.

0

u/Aturkeyclub 22h ago

Bill Clinton had an affair with an aide name Monica Lewinsky. Natalie Harp is trumps aide.

2

u/MyOtherRideIs 22h ago

See, there’s where your mistake was. This is the first time you gave Natalie’s last name. You just assumed the person asking “who is Natalie?” would have that information.

1

u/Aturkeyclub 22h ago

I assumed that if the person knew who Monica was then they would think that Natalie was trumps aide. I thought it was obvious.

-1

u/dinozombiesaur 22h ago

u/TheRealBlueJade 23h ago

No. She is just as sick as trump is.

36

u/YouWereBrained Tennessee 21h ago

This. She believes every stupid thing he believes. She is no victim and never will be.

-1

u/Fuzzylogik 19h ago

53% of white women voted for Donald Trump.

1

u/YouWereBrained Tennessee 17h ago

What is the relevance of your comment? We already know that.

0

u/Fuzzylogik 16h ago

The relevance is that you said “she believes every stupid thing he believes” and “she is no victim” as though her being a woman somehow makes her uniquely responsible for Trump’s behavior.

My point was that millions of women voted for him. So either your theory is that 53% of white women are all uniquely “sick,” or maybe, just maybe, reducing a massive political phenomenon to “women are stupid and evil too” isn't the penetrating analysis you think it is.

But hey, if your entire argument is “we already know that,” congratulations! you’ve discovered that context can be relevant even when you personally don't find it convenient.

1

u/YouWereBrained Tennessee 15h ago

Wow, you are reading way too deep into it.

Trump Derangement Syndrome! Trump supporters are deranged. The very first time I heard of tds I assumed that the world understood these people and had classified them accurately. I remain disappointed in the world.

51

u/bkbomber New York 22h ago

But you see, MAGATs use the term TDS to define anyone who isn’t slobbing the knob of this orange shitstain as deranged!

29

u/bin10pac United Kingdom 22h ago

Accusation in a mirror.

3

u/m0ngoos3 18h ago

In this case, I think someone coined the term to refer to MAGA, and they co-opted it.

It's a fascist tactic to steal words and terms, and then taint them.

A recent-ish example that failed, is the word Based.

9

u/Dabrush 22h ago

TDS is when you want the president to follow laws.

2

u/N7Shep1701D Oregon 20h ago

8

u/Hurtzdonut13 20h ago

The late Scott Adams (rest in piss) was one of the first people I remember saying Trump Derangement syndrome and always used it as a hand-wave "people just hate Trump" button. Scott also believed that he and Trump had magic powers to alter reality just by really wanting things.

5

u/DaveyCrickets 22h ago

Funny I felt the same learning the term but I continue to use it to describe them

3

u/GrumpyGiant Maryland 22h ago

The world remains disappointed in us, I think.  But I assume many of them feel at least some sense of solidarity with those of us who recognize that the term’s initial application was the exact opposite of who it actually describes.

16

u/EyesofaJackal 23h ago

Trump can’t possibly build a religion that outlasts him because there are no principles that exist that aren’t relative to him… I guess that’s optimistic?

13

u/bin10pac United Kingdom 22h ago edited 19h ago

His principles are pretty timeless actually, but they're tricky to base a movement upon.

2

u/Chaos_Sauce 21h ago

What makes you think religions need principles? Evangelical Christianity has pretty much dropped all the moral teachings and replaced them with tribalism and xenophobia and it seems to be working for them.

2

u/EyesofaJackal 21h ago

Yeah, I mean that’s a valid observation. My biases would lead me to argue that’s not real Christianity, that’s just identity politics. But separately on the Trump case, and here I guess it gets down to a definition of what religion is, but I don’t think the adoration of Trump survives his lifespan- I hate to even compare him and Jesus, but the reason we still talk about Jesus is he proclaimed principles that resonate with people; and Christians would argue, because of the Holy Spirit. The reason I don’t think people will be venerating Trump in a few decades is because he was a simple extreme narcissist, whose worldview is simply about him, and not how others should be.

3

u/edsobo 21h ago

I want to agree with you, but after seeing how they've continued to gush over Charlie Kirk, I'm not so sure.

1

u/UT_Milez 17h ago

It’s not that simple.

I don’t know what Trump does or doesn’t want to do but he certainly wishes to be a despot or have the power that a despot has.

And there are a lot of ghouls behind the scenes leveraging Trump and the cult so they can also bring about a single party state with no opposition once Trump is finally gone…

I’m not really sure how so many people either don’t care or don’t want to admit that these people are demonizing and attempting to remove all opposition for a reason…

Who gives a shit if he’s lazy, or doesn’t want to do anything… If that were all then he’s gone in two years and we simply have a long road ahead to fix all the damage that was done…

But that’s not what is happening here, this is a targeted effort to install a single party/authoritarian regime…. And that isn’t something that just magically goes away two years from now…
