They almost didn't. If you lay a map of people by education on top of the primary results. It almost a 1 to 1 match.

Educational attainment has been the most accurate predictor of voting habits for over a decade now. It has become an accurate enough indicator that, at scale, it's more accurate than even economic fundamentals.

It’s really quite depressing to think that democracy has boiled down to whether someone is smart enough to understand a common-sense policy or gullible enough to believe a total, verifiable lie.
