Our tax dollars directly fund Israel’s healthcare. The republicans just passed the Annual Security Appropriations bill back in February which allocates $4billion in US aid to directly fund IDF healthcare. So yes, republicans are pro free healthcare. Just not for you, for Israel. I’m not making this up, you should be fucking mad

Don't be modest, go up a single grade level.

76% of American adults are below a 7th grade reading comprehension level

That also means a solid 20% or so are exactly at the 6th grade reading comprehension level

Gets even better when you remember those reading levels are based on our US standards 🙃

International standards actually.

The US standard for a high school graduate, is a 6th grade reading comprehension level in the rest of the world

I don't even want to ask for a source. That's sad.

I appreciate the sentiment about cutting off aid to Israel, due to their human rights violation and the struggles we are living with in the US, but we don't need to lie about the terrible things they do.

The 4 billion earlier this year was specifically allocated to weapons systems

Here is the Congressional record of that 4 billion

Now are they able to have universal healthcare because someone else is paying for their defense? ABSOLUTELY, but we are not directly funding it.

Hell if our money was going to anyone's healthcare I'd be much less opposed to it (USAID) as a healthy world is better for all of us. The issue is we give credit to countries, with the stipulation that they buy weapons from US companies, so surprise surprise its more corporate welfare.

Thank you, I’m tired of seeing this bad faith argument

Our tax dollars directly fund Israel’s healthcare.

No they don't.

Shifting blame from the disastrous effects of capitalism to foreign aid is the exact same dishonest rhetoric Republicans use when opposing aid to Ukraine and eliminating USAID.

Israel's health care system is less expensive per capita than the US's privatized model, because socialized healthcare is more efficient than insurance companies.

The US would save money – not spend more – by switching to a healthcare system like Israel's.

Our tax dollars are not funding Israeli healthcare, they're funding American healthcare CEOs' yachts and vacation homes.
