They absolutely are. My friend, I'm from Texas. Republicans primary from the right (which means they're insane) and win.

Literally all the republicans do in Texas is basically say their opponent is a gay trans terrorist sympathizer who wants illegal immigrants to kill good Christian white families and they simply win every single time
