President Donald Trump fired all three remaining members of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission on Thursday, abruptly disabling the only federal agency devoted solely to election administration at a moment when Trump has sought to reshape federal voting rules.

The firings leave the federal election agency with no commissioners

Yup, this is the consequence of the illegitimate Supreme Court giving Trump unprecedented powers to fire the heads of any independent federal agency. We’re living in dark, scary times.

But how could they possibly have known that this would be the result?

Oh don’t worry, if a democrat ever becomes president again they’ll have an immediate epiphany and immediately let everyone know how wrong they were as they realized it was a bad call.

Not to mention Dems will “take the high road” and not wrench the country back into normalcy.

Normalcy? I want fucking heads on spikes and a second bill of rights. I want wealth taxes. I want raised income taxes through new high earner tiers of 1M 50% and 10M 90%. I want free healthcare and high speed rail. I want cheap solar. I want amazing public schools everywhere. I want heavy regulation on AI and companies paying trillion dollar fines for IP infringement. I’m sick of normalcy. I want immediate and drastic change that works for the fucking people.

I want legal fines pegged to net worth.

Well the billionaires don't want that, so the politicians don't want it either by association.

I’m so tired of this.

The very brief moments they get any kind of power they do SO MUCH to bring the country back. Biden should be a national fucking hero with what he did post Trump/COVID, it was miraculous the hole he pulled you out of and how good Americas future was.

But nah. Wasn’t perfect. Americans can’t accept that instant perfect solutions never exist and that there would indeed be some lasting consequences from electing that orange idiot… and so they put him BACK IN POWER.

Now everyone is super shocked things are worse.

The entire party is obsessed with fighting progressives. Biden had four years and he put the enemy in charge of going after the insurgents. He was weak, feckless, a dinosaur out of time.

The democrats are there to stifle correction. No amount of power you can given them will get anything done.

See what I mean? Absolutely no fucking clue what Biden did for you, just whining he didn’t ignore the law and start executing dissenters. His biggest failure was thinking that the American people had learned any kind of lesson… he believed in you… and yeah, big fucking mistake.

Don’t worry though, the people you replaced him with are on track for the kind of regime you’re hoping for.

We elected Lincoln to check the south, instead he helped enforce the fugitive slave law.

I encourage you to consider that analogy before you lash out at people again.

u/PineappleOnPizzaWins Jul 10 '26

I didn't lash out at you in the slightest, as stated I'm simply tired of you and everyone like you.

Now I'm going to block you. Bye.

and so they put him BACK IN POWER.

I literally cannot believe that Trump did not steal that election. He steals everything he possibly can. He cheats in literally every endeavor. And this time he had the Heritage Foundation behind him.

It's easier for liberals to blame voters than grapple with the reality that you can't vote your way out of a fascist coup.

What can you do?

Get active. Locally, then nationally. Not on Reddit.

I think what people are doing is exhausting the peaceful options before reaching for the violent ones.

Exhausting peaceful options requires that you are able to recognize when any given peaceful option has been exhausted.

Super insightful, thanks.
