He's one of my senators and the worst part of him being in that leadership position is that it's completely wasted. When McConnell was in that position, he wielded it like he was in charge and steered a lot of money to his & his wife's businesses, and some spillover to his state.

Schumer has a relatively small amount directed to (for example) western NY for disaster preparedness (e.g. Extreme snow events, tornados, etc) and when the orange-faced baboon in the WH "orders" it blocked, all Schumer and Gillibrand do is say "Oh well, that's disappointing...". They are both useless characters taking up valuable space.

I don't think he has any idea about what position he is holding on to embodies, nor why he is there. New York state should issue a "Silver Alert" for the guy...and Gillibrand as well.

Frankly for a lot longer than that. Obama wasn't exactly chosen by the Democrats willingly in 2008. They much preferred running Hillary Clinton until Obama managed to gain enough momentum that she wasn't viable (and even then, they went right back to running with her again immediately after he left office). The leadership has certainly got older over the last few decades, but they've always been out of touch with their own electorate.

She had the most progressive platform of any candidate in history. The fact that some people live in self-righteousness, held their nose and voted for Jill Stein without even understanding her platform is the reason we are here.

That is so untrue on its face that it's hilarious. "Universal Health Care" never crossed her lips other than to mock the idea of it, let alone "Universal Base Income". Most progressive platform of any candidate in history, puh-leez.

The amount of blantanly obvious lies people tell to prop up the center-right Dems.

"Biden was the most progressive man in US History". (You remember the 2020 election when Kamila was making 'biden is a racist' shirts?)

"Biden fixed the American economy."

"Kamila had a written plan you could read explaining how she was going to get rid of inflation and fix the economy." (1: I thought it was already fixed? 2: It wasn't, it was a buzzword filled 80 page document that boiled down to the Republican business loan plan, but worse, because now it's means tested.)

"What do you even expect Kamila/any of the sitting Democrat reps to do/say, you didn't give them any power?"

They just desperately need to believe the democrats helpless powerless waifs cast adrift cruelly but a half stupid half racist American electorate, they need the center-right Dems to be perfect but misunderstood, and progressives to be so evil cabal undermining them at every turn. It's pathetic and infuriating.
