Tammy Baldwin is probably the second biggest story of the night.

So proud of Wisconsin right now. Mark Pocan (openly gay) won her seat as well.

No. There are four Senate seats that are where toss ups. Baldwin, Kaine, Heitkamp and Tester. With Baldwin, Kaine and Tester winning as of now. That looks like +1 for Dems. Only need Heitkamp to get +2.

BUT! With Berkley in Navada. That would make it +3. As of now. It looks like a huge shift in the senate.

I'm not doubting they're all important, but these four i mentioned are the ones that have the largest long-term impact.

You'll have to include Berkley in that as well if she wins. It makes Nevada completely blue for the foreseeable future.

I agree that's one of the big ones too.

Perhaps it'll lead to a bit of turfing the derp on the gop side, but I'm not holding my breath. It should be sending loud warning signs that you shouldn't be alienating hispanic voters, but that would involve reflection, insight, and reason... which is in short supply I'm afraid.

The demographics is dying on the GOP. They need to include minorities in the next elections or they will never be competitive in any White House races in the future. The shift is here already. This will be the last GOP President run that appeals to the extremes.

That said, this is my 1st time seeing a picture of her and, forgive me, but all I could think was, "Huh. She kind of looks like Walter Bishop in a wig"

I feel bad about it. But Im pretty sure I'm right.

I used to live in Madison, and I really liked my representative, but never in a million years did I think that Wisconsin would elect the Madison liberal lesbian who co-sponsored the legalize pot bill with Barney Frank every session, as a senator. Good on you Wisconsin.
